  • Ep. 64 - Proxima (2019): Space Horses

Liftoff! This week we're experiencing some extra G's in the centrifuge with PROXIMA. A story told from the perspective of a mother facing astronaut training in preparation for a mission to the ISS. The winding emotional arc here really took us by surprise, and of course it was a good week for Jordan because his one true love Eva Green takes center stage, and weirdly changes on camera like a bunch of times.

  • Ep. 63 - Money Plane (2020): Where's the nip slip, Jordan?

Heist time! MONEY PLANE brings us a classic professional-thief-redemption plot, and who better to lead this ragtag group of high stakes thieves than the Rated-R Superstar himself, Edge? And you know what, throw in Fraiser Crane smoking cigars and threatening everyone just for the hell of it. Truthfully, this one was a rough watch, but we had fun tearing it apart and we think you will too.

  • Ep. 62 - Fist of Fury (1972): Thems fightin' words

Chock! We're delivering the killing blow to Marchial arts this week with FIST OF FURY. Finally, a Bruce Lee movie. I mean, it took us long enough... This Hong Kong film has a whole lot of artistry scattered amongst its 100 minutes, and a fair shake of dry exposition. So grab your snack paper and enjoy the satisfying sounds of nunchucks hitting knees.

  • Ep. 61 - The Raid: Redemption (2011): That's when he sh*t his pants

Kachow! What happens when you mix high-octane gunfights with neck breaking martial arts? THE RAID: REDEMPTION. This Indonesian feature takes action to a whole new level with nonstop intensity and some killer editing. Also what's with all the knives to the neck? Seems like this movie really centers around how much damage a neck can take before a guy dies...

  • Ep. 60 - Bloodsport (1988): ...But he's not a lazy guy.

Hi-ya! Let's travel to Hong Kong this week and take party in the deadly Kumite with BLOODSPORT. Jean-Claude Van Damme serves up splits, smiles, and some slick kicks in this classic 80s flick. Wait a sec, is that Mick Foley? Nope, I wish. But it does have a young Forest Whitaker which is pretty cool.

  • Ep. 59 - Kung Pow! Enter the Fist (2002): How the f*ck did this get made?

Pow! It's the first week of Marchial Arts and we're kicking off with the cult classic KUNG POW! ENTER THE FIST. Steve Oedekerk serves up this wickedly zany satire of classic martial arts movies, complete with groundhog nunchucks, fighting cows, and a tongue that just won't quit. Choose your fighter and keep your hands up to block the beatdown that's coming your way.

  • Ep. 58 - Victor Crowley (2017): That's how they got Sully!

We're going back…to the swamp! It's time to put a cap on our hatchet series with VICTOR CROWLEY. Parry Shen makes a return, starring this time alongside an almost completely new cast, a pretty classic Adam Green move if you ask me. Join us for one last bloodbath and keep an eye out for Canada geese, we don't want any bird strike taking this plane down.

Lovers beware! It's that time of year again. It's time for the big Valentine's Day party, and everyone in town is invited…Wait, Did someone just mail the mayor a human heart in a candy box?? MY BLOODY VALENTINE is here to deliver hugs and kisses and shock and awe! Who's your valentine this year? Ours is Harry Warden…

  • Ep. 56 - C.H.U.D. (1984): First appearance of John Goodman

Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers! Time for some more science fiction horror this week, C.H.U.D takes us to the seedy underbelly of New York City, and a toxic truth that will shake the foundation of the city... Another cool thing about this movie is that for about 3 minutes we get to see a young John Goodman in his first movie playing a New York cop. Honestly, for an 80s movie, this one aged pretty well.

  • Ep. 55 - Wizards (1977): Weehawk tuah

Animation!? Yes, we have waited long enough, it's time to do an animated flick, and who better to start with than Ralph Bakshi? WIZARDS takes us thousands of years into the future, where things look very different, but there is something all too familiar about this story's big bad guy. Take a stroll down this very trippy hand-drawn avenue with us, and fear not if this isn't your favorite, because we are most definitely coming back to Bakshi.
