Hola Big Interview listeners!

In the second part of my interview with Kevin Phillips, the former Sunderland striker discusses his first call-up for England, the feeling of winning a cap for his country and his rivalry with fellow goalscorer Alan Shearer.

And what of another English striker, Jamie Vardy? Kevin coached the Leicester City talisman and explains the difficulties that brought with it. Deep breaths, Kev. Deep breaths.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

This is the first part of my interview with Super Kevin Phillips, Sunderland legend and winner of the Golden Boot. Or is that the Golden Shoe?

Kevin once out-scored the best strikers in Europe and I was excited to listen to him describe his thought process in front of goal, and his explanation of the art of finishing includes a wonderful quote from the great Jimmy Greaves.

He also takes us back to his younger days playing right back at non-league Baldock Town, an environment which helped prepare him for life as a professional footballer.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

This was another special, fascinating Big Interview. Pat is a wonderful storyteller and brought all of his humour and wit with him when we met in Edinburgh to record this last month.

You will hear about his days at Chelsea and, in particular, the hilarious tale about the night he took team-mate Doug Rougvie to a London rave; his public stance against the racism being directed to some of his team-mates; and why Eden Hazard is not among the elite. Not yet, anyway.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

My goodness what a game! What a Clasico!

This is my review of the match at the Camp Nou (spoilers: FC Barcelona romped to a 5-1 victory) in which I examine where Barca got it right, and where Madrid got it so wrong.

Julen Lopetegui was sacked as manager at Madrid following this result, with Antonio Conte already favourite to take charge. I take a closer look at this story and give my opinion on how I think the Italian's arrival would be viewed at the Bernabeu by these players.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

Boy, this has been a busy week. That has had something to do with the upcoming Clasico - a match in which (I think) Julen Lopetegui will still be in the dug out for Madrid ... but for how much longer?

I discuss Lopetegui's position at the Bernabeu in this special Clasico preview episode, and examine the embattled Madrid side which he will take to the Camp Nou this weekend.

And what of Barca? Well, I look at them too and give my opinion about how they will cope without the injured Lionel Messi.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

In the second part of my interview with Owen we discuss England's Golden Generation, a fabulous group of players which included the likes of Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand, and Owen himself.

Big things were expected of that generation of England players but they were unable to triumph at a major finals. Owen talks about the relationships between the players, the tactics employed by the managers, and gives his opinion on why they fell short.

And, of course, we talk more about his time at Bayern Munich and Manchester United. What was the main difference between the clubs? Owen suggests that was probably the way they tackled each other at training.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

In the first part of my chat with two-time Champions League winner Owen Hargreaves, we talk about his time at Bayern Munich and what it was like coming through at one of world football's most celebrated clubs.

You'll hear stories from Champions League finals - two he played in, one he didn't - and fascinating accounts of what it was like to go toe-to-toe with Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane. Owen will introduce you to big characters like Stefan Effenberg and Ottmar Hitzfeld, too.

The former footballer also talks about growing up in Canada and why, as a kid, he idolised basketball superstar Michael Jordan. I found this conversation with Owen absolutely fascinating and I'm certain that you will too.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

Our Socios have been telling us about their favourite Big Interviews from our archive. Here's another classic with the great Harry Redknapp.

I loved recording this. Harry's stories are absolute brilliant and you will hear him discuss why he ignored advice from other coaches to sign the likes of Paolo Di Canio and Robert Prosinecki.

And what of the one that got away: Ian Wright? Why did Harry decline the chance to take that now-notable goalscorer on trial at Bournemouth? He'll tell you in this episode.

And just wait until he recalls the story of whisking Kanu out of an airport on a wheelchair hours after Portsmouth had faced Middlesbrough. Trust me, it's well worth waiting for.

Hola Big Interview listeners!

Last week I spent an hour in the company of former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott.

So what did we talk about? Well, you will hear Joleon describe the historic moment when City won the league title in 2012, as well as key players like Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany.

And, thanks to our sponsors Bet365, you will also learn why Louis Saha was the toughest striker he ever faced.

But this is only a small piece of my chat with Joleon. The full episode is available ad-free at patreon.com/grahamhunter.
