For the 46th episode of the Healthcare IT Podcast, we’re talking about the battle for telehealth.  More specifically, we’re talking about EHR vendors entrance into telehealth and third party telehealth vendors.  For those that have been following our EHR Telehealth vendor series, you know that EHR vendors are all diving into the live video telehealth space.  No doubt they see an opportunity to be the telehealth provider for their EHR users.

While EHR vendors are offering their own telehealth solution, many third party telehealth vendors have been working in the space for a long time and have really compelling offerings as well.  Plus, many of them are expanding beyond the live video telehealth visits to other areas of telehealth like RPM (remote patient monitoring).

In this episode we dive into the telehealth battle between EHR vendors and 3rd party telehealth vendors.  Plus, we talk about telehealth investment and whether we think it will continue.  Then, we also talk about what we see happening with consolidation in the telehealth space.
