First time guest Nick Solares, the "Professional Carnivore", joined me to talk a bit about his background.  We started off by recapping his trip to Chicago and looking around at the Windy City Smoke-out, his like of deep-dish pizza, his thought that local Chicago folks actually LIKE deep-dish and we also learned about his history and coming to the USA.  We also talked about hot dogs...does Nick boil or not?  A spot in the 10th circle of hell (along with me) could be waiting for him.

Mike McCloud, creator fo the WFC, joined me to talk about the final table this year and how that might have a completely different look than last year.  We also talked about how TV is something that needs to be tie to the WFC to ensure its long-term success...but network TV and not cable TV.

What’s on tap:  One of my favorite human being EVER, Ted Reader, stopped by to talk about, at that time, what was his record breaking hamburger cook.  As of this posting, I don't believe he has been passed up and still carries the torch!  Teddy doesn't do anything small...and this burger is a great example of it!  In the 2nd segment, former "regular guest" Derrick Riches stopped by to talk about his experience at the 2010 Memphis in May contest.  It will be interesting to hear what has changes and what has stayed the same over the past 8 years.  You can listen to the full show by clicking the link below.

Steven Raichlen, author of the Barbecue Bible, joined me for an invigorating live-fire cooking conversation.  We started talking about outdoor entertainment areas, how to build them out, what pieces you NEED to have and what some "stretch goals" should be as the means become available.  We also covered  meatless burger popularity and if it will see an increase in favor over the next few years.  Steven admits to possibly writing a "meatless" BBQ book at some point in the future.  Near the end, we discuss hot dogs...I asked him if we should ever boil a hot dog...I then confess my like for them.  Steven told me that there is a 10th circle of hell for people like me...then gave thought to my Cleveland residence as being a cause for such a dastardly pleasure...what can I say...SEE YOU IN HELL!!
