    Dr. Matt Mitchell has served as the pastor of Lanse Evangelical Free Church since 1998. A graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Matt received his doctorate in biblical counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2012. He is a frequent contributor to the Journal of Biblical Counseling, Lifeway Pastors, and EFCA Today. Matt is the author of Resisting Gossip: Winning the War of the Wagging Tongue and Resisting Gossip Together: Participant’s Guide and Bible Study. He joins us today on 15:14 to discuss his book and the topic of gossip, especially as it relates to biblical counseling.

    Kïrsten Christianson is a biblical counselor who counsels through her practice, Side-by-Side Biblical Counseling. It is her joy to help people draw near to God in the midst of growth, suffering, and the challenges of daily life. A co-founder of her church’s domestic abuse ministry, she serves as the Crisis Care Coordinator for one of the campuses and helps her church navigate domestic abuse issues using a team approach. Kïrsten lives in Minnesota with her husband and son. She joins us for this episode of 15:14 to discuss how churches can think about and navigate the difficulty of ministering to people dealing with domestic abuse.

    Lauren Whitman joins the 15:14 podcast today to discuss her new book, A Painful Past: Healing and Moving Forward, one of the 31 Day Devotionals for Life from P&R Publishing. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Lauren serves as a Staff Counselor at Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF).   • Adrian Martinez
    Adrian Martinez has served in pastoral ministry since 1998 and has been active in biblical counseling since 2003. Adrian has a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, a Doctor of Ministry (ABD) from The Master's University, and is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He is also the Oceania Coordinator for Overseas Instruction in Counseling. Adrian and his wife Jen have five children. Adrian is a member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition Council, and he joins us on the 15:14 podcast to share about his role with Biblical Counseling Australia (BCA). He is currently working for BCA to run Local Church Training and deliver Soul Care Certificate courses.

    Hayley Satrom lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband Rob and three beloved children. They are members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, where Hayley serves on staff part-time as a biblical counselor. She also co-directs a private practice for biblical counseling called Heart Song Counseling. Hayley received a BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California and an MA in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has a great affinity for the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), where she has also taken several biblical counseling courses. Hayley is the author of Forgiveness: Reflecting God’s Mercy, one of the 31-Day Devotionals for Life from P&R Publishing.   • Darby Strickland
    Darby Strickland counsels and teaches at the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF). She has a Master of Divinity degree in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biopsychology from the University of Chicago. She has been practicing formal counseling for over a decade. In addition to serving as a missionary to Northern Ireland for two years, she has also supported the ministry of the church by speaking at women’s retreats, teaching Bible studies, and leading support groups. While focused on marriage and family counseling, Darby has a special interest in working with abused and developmentally delayed children. Darby joins us for this episode of 15:14 to discuss her new book, Is It Abuse? A Biblical Guide to Identifying Abuse and Helping Victims.

    Dr. Jim Berg serves as Professor of Biblical Counseling at BJU Seminary after serving as Dean of Students of Bob Jones University for 29 years. He has a DMin in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, is ACBC certified, and holds advanced certification (ABC3) with the Association of Biblical Counselors. Jim has authored numerous books, including Basics for Believers, Changed into His Image, Essential Virtues, When Trouble Comes, God is More Than Enough, and Quieting a Noisy Soul—a multi-media personal study program addressing guilt, anger, anxiety, and despair. Today, Dr. Berg joins our 15:14 podcast to discuss his role as Executive Director of Freedom That Lasts®, a Bible-centered ministry to those struggling with addictions and hurtful life circumstances.

    Paul Tautges serves as one of the pastors of Cornerstone Community Church in Mayfield Heights, Ohio (east of Cleveland). Prior to accepting the Lord’s call to Cornerstone, he pastored in Wisconsin for 22 years. Paul has been married to Karen since 1986. Together they enjoy their ten children and their spouses and their growing tribe of grandchildren. He is also an adjunct professor, certified biblical counselor and teaching fellow for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and a Council member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition. Paul has written or edited over 50 books and mini-books. He joins us for today’s episode of 15:14 to discuss the Disability Toolkit, a new resource to help Christians minister to the disability community in and around their local churches.

    BCC Council member, Dr. Greg Cook, joins us for this episode of 15:14 to talk about the soul care ministry at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Cook has been the associate pastor at the church since 1995 and founded their Soul Care ministry. He has a DMin from Westminster Theological Seminary in Pastoral Counseling, an MA in Counseling from Amberton University, and an MA in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Greg also teaches biblical counseling as an adjunct instructor at Arlington Baptist University and Bible Institute of South Africa.

    Lilly Park, PhD, serves as the Associate Professor of Biblical Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has contributed to Trained in the Fear of God, as well as other books and journals. She is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. Prior to biblical counseling, she worked as an organizational consultant in the Washington, D.C. area.
