Reese, Pam and Alex discuss the Patriots win over the Jets.
The New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets 27-14 on Thursday night. The Jets opened the game with a touchdown on a short run by Justin Fields, but the Patriots responded behind a breakout performance from rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, who scored three total touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air. Quarterback Drake Maye also played efficiently, throwing for 281 yards and a touchdown while completing 25 of 34 passes. Although the Jets managed to pull within one score in the second half, the Patriots controlled the fourth quarter and pulled away. The win extended New England’s streak to eight games and improved their record to 9-2, marking their longest winning run since 2019, while the Jets fell to 2-8. Is Drake Maye the MVP? Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss A.J. Brown’s recent frustrations regarding his diminished involvement, the Eagles’ inconsistent offensive performance and the Jets vs Patriots game tonight.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has been increasingly vocal about his frustration this season, largely due to the team’s offensive struggles and his reduced involvement in the passing game. His discontent became more visible after a game in which he was targeted only three times, when he vented on a livestream, saying, “It’s a sh*t-show… I’m struggling, brother,” and even joked that fantasy football players should “get rid of” him.
Brown’s frustration stems from both his diminished production and what he sees as the offense’s lack of identity and consistency. He’s made it clear his concern isn’t about personal stats but about contributing to winning football. Offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, promoted to the role in February 2025 after previously serving as pass game coordinator and associate head coach, plays a central role in these issues. While Patullo has stressed continuity and collaboration with head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts, the offense has struggled to meet expectations, fueling frustration among key players like Brown.
MVP candidate Drake Maye and the (8-2) New England Patriots will host the (2-7) New York Jets tonight on Thursday Night Football. Who will win? Can the Jets upset New England? Drake Maye has been balling this season. Is he your MVP favorite?
