Often considered one of the more tense or taboo conversation topics today is the question of what happens when we die. Admittedly, it's uncomfortable, but it's a conversation we can't get away from. Death is a reality we all face, and so it's worth considering amongst friends: where is this all headed?

 

The crazy thing about this question is, if you have clarity on the end, your present makes a lot more sense. In contrast, if you don't have clarity on the end, the decisions you make today won't always make a lot of sense. Many religious figures and groups offer answers on what the end will be like, but which one is the best? Which one makes the most sense? What if a source offers a perspective on the end that is not only dangerous, it's compelling and worth listening to above all the rest? We think Bible's perspective on the end is just that: dangerous and compelling.

The basic offering of any religion is a solution for making the world better, a suggestion on how to live the good life. Religions vary greatly on this topic, and especially in America, there can be a tendency to think that these perspectives are generally all saying the same thing. But what if they’re not saying the same thing? What if there are big differences in how religious organizations prescribe how to make the world better?

 

The picture the Bible paints regarding how to make the world better and live the good life is this idea of being rescued and saved. The Bible says that we need something outside of ourselves to fix the way the world is. It’s a unique perspective, and we think it’s dope and what the world needs.

The Bible is an incredible story that many people misunderstand because they listen to criticism from sources who either fail at accurately explaining the Bible or haven't done their homework. It's a story that invites you to see yourself in the story and it's a story that you can see reflected in the stories we tell as a culture. In movies, music, books, etc. you can see the themes of the Bible woven throughout. Themes like sacrificial love, the search for the true king, repentance and worthiness.
