- CARRY YOUR CROSS // On a Saturday...We hope you don't take this thing lightly...Born out of a conversation on the disconnect between what we see of Christianity in pop culture and the media versus the very real teachings Jesus gave that suggested we need to be saved from ourselves - and carry a cross? In the Gospel of Luke chapter 9, Jesus tells his followers, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." The meaning is complex, but one thing is for sure: the life Jesus was calling his followers into wasn't something to take lightly. What if this charge to carry your cross wasn't ANOTHER self optimization technique or religious exercise to make you feel better about yourself. What if Jesus' strange metaphor to his followers was actually about how to be saved from yourself and live in true freedom? In case you didn't know, The Bible is Dope....Connect with us!The Plant Based Theologian, McKay Vandenberg: Instagram | @dj_muhkay, SoundCloud | soundcloud.com/muhkayThe Poet, Tyler Schaefer: Instagram | @tl_schaefer | tlschaefer.coThe Theology Marketer: Mike Teruel: Instagram & Twitter | @miketeruel...Theme Song Produced by DJ Muhkay - McKay VandenbergSound effects brought to you by Soundstripe, ZapSplat. - GOD IS IN THE STORIES // FORGIVENESS CYPHER 🤌We are restless until we find our rest in thee - Saint AugustineGOD IS IN THE STORIES: We're in the golden age of storytelling - more content available for us to watch then we know what to do with. And religious folks go CRAZY on Facebook condemning people left and right for their entertainment choices. What's ok and not ok to watch? Are there lines or is there freedom of conscience? We think that's a worthy discussion, and we think that you might actually run into God as you're exploring stories - so don't be too quick to condemn.FORGIVENESS CYPHER: If Christianity is about one thing...if the Bible is about one thing...it's forgiveness. In case you didn't know, The Bible is Dope....Connect with us!The Plant Based Theologian, McKay Vandenberg: Instagram | @dj_muhkay, SoundCloud | soundcloud.com/muhkayThe Poet Laureate, Tyler Schaefer: Instagram | @tl_schaefer | tlschaefer.coMike Teruel: Instagram & Twitter | @miketeruel...Theme Song Produced by DJ Muhkay - McKay VandenbergSound effects brought to you by Soundstripe and homemade41 min
- Running Through the Church With My WOES 🤩🙏 Pt. 2I was running through the church with my woes...Chapter 8 in the book of Romans is arguably one of the greatest chapters in the Bible. In contrast to the messaging of our world today that tells you, you need to manifest your dreams and the reality you want - a fairly unhelpful message when tough times hit 🥴 - Romans chapter 8 tells us that those people who are part of the family of God have assurance that God uses all their trials ultimately for good. The scope of that is crazy....The 3 of us had a rough couple years. Really rough. And we decided to process it to help other people know that there are answers for your pain and that you are not alone. In case you didn't know, The Bible is Dope....Connect with us!The Plant Based Theologian, McKay Vandenberg: Instagram | @dj_muhkay, SoundCloud | soundcloud.com/muhkayThe Poet Laureate, Tyler Schaefer: Instagram | @tl_schaefer | tlschaefer.coMike Teruel: Instagram & Twitter | @miketeruel...Theme Song Produced by DJ Muhkay - McKay VandenbergSound effects brought to you by Soundstripe and homemade1 hr 20 min
- Running Through the Church With My WOES 😩🙏 Pt. 1I was running through the church with my woes...THE FACT IS...being a Christian doesn't mean you get to go through life without pain - thanks prosperity preachers. IN FACT...Jesus promised that his followers would go through suffering. The advantage Christians have though, is the promise that God doesn't waste our pain.Check out Romans 8 - a famous passage in the Bible about how God uses all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. The 3 of us had a rough couple years. - EASTER SIDE A: Ya’ll Killed the Homie ⚰️ feat. Tyler Schaefer & Zac BezanskyThe picture of Jesus dying on a cross is fixed in the attic of the American conscience...but what does it mean? Jesus as an icon floats around in our culture, but for many, who he is and why he died are unclear ideas. For Easter 2022 we wanted to host a special conversation on the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth as portrayed in the Gospel accounts and breakdown what that means for us today. We think that the crucifixion of Jesus can mean more to you than you might expect. Thanks to our special guests, author and creative, Tyler Schaefer - check out his poetry on Instagram: @tl_schaefer - and theology student, Zac Bezansky. In case you didn't know, The Bible is Dope....Connect with us!The Plant Based Theologian, McKay Vandenberg: Instagram | @dj_muhkay, SoundCloud | soundcloud.com/muhkayMike Teruel: Instagram & Twitter | @miketeruel...Theme Song Produced by DJ Muhkay - McKay VandenbergSound effects brought to you by Soundstripe and homemade2 hr 7 min

- Everybody‘s Wrong About Christianity, BruhWhat is Christianity? If we're honest, it's hard to tell sometimes. Is it a political affiliation? Is it social activism? Is it philosophy? Is it an old story? What place does it have in our modern world? We think that both conservative Christianity and progressive Christianity are fails. Fails in that neither is sufficient to actually transform us - and dare we say, save us. What if there's a 3rd option? What if true Christianity is somewhere in the middle - somewhere that doesn't fit neatly in a major camp that gets headlines? We think the true message of Christianity needs to be discussed, because what's generally peddled in the marketplace of ideas today is way different than what the 1st century Jewish Rabbi we claim intended. In case you didn't know, The Bible is Dope....Connect with us!The Plant Based Theologian, McKay Vandenberg: Instagram | @dj_muhkay, SoundCloud | soundcloud.com/muhkayThe Bay Area Baptist, Mike Teruel: Instagram & Twitter | @miketeruel...Theme Song Produced by DJ Muhkay - McKay VandenbergSound effects from Zapsplat.com & Homemade :)2 hr 8 min
