What's the mindset we are to have when problems arise among God's people?
Make no mistake, churches will face problems.
But the solution is always going to be the same!
In this episode, I talk about a problem two sisters had in the church in Philippi.
It's easy to fall into the trap of wanting to become Famous!
But there's something far greater than Fame. Check out this podcast and Philippians 4:3
It can be easy to see other people's sins. But can we sin our own? As Christians, are we confessing our sins to God? There's great benefit and joy we can receive when we do.
Scriptures in this Episode:
- 2 Samuel 12: 1-14
- Psalm 32:1-5
- 1 John 1:9-10
- Genesis 4:1-7
- James 5:16
In John 4:36-37, Jesus said, Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together: "For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows and another reaps.'
- There's often a lot of emphasis on the joy attached to Reaping. But what about the Sowing aspect? There is to be joy as well when it comes to sowing the seed.
It is a powerful and sad story!
It's a story we should take seriously.
It's found in Mark 10:17-22
What's the best thing to do in the morning?
What's the best way to start your day?
A cold shower?

Jesus helps us to see the Perfect Morning Routine in Mark 1:35
In Matthew 6:34, it says, "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Our lives will be so much better when we stay focused on TODAY! It's easy to get ahead of ourselves. But what if we slowed down and appreciated even more the blessings we have today? Focus on today.
A few years ago, a sister in Christ asked me if I would pray for her. I said "Yes!" A few weeks later she asked me if I had prayed. Sadly, I had to say, "No!" I felt terrible. Have you ever experienced something like this? When it comes to prayer, we need to follow through. In this episode, I provide a few simple tips we can implement to become more consistent in our prayers.
It is so easy to lose control in the heat of the moment. I've been guilty of doing that. Yet, there's a better way for us to handle ourselves. Something we all can do is to PAUSE! There's great power taking a PAUSE. A Breath! A moment to take a step back before we Tweet, Reply, Answer, etc. There's a great leader in the Old Testament who helps us to see the Power of the Pause! It's possible.
To grow in our faith, we need to hide God's word in our hearts. I love what the Bible says in Deuteronomy 17:18. It says, "Now it shall come about when the he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself a copy of this Law on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests."The kings of Israel were to spend a tremendous amount of time in God's word. As Christians, we are to do the same. Take a listen as we discuss Hiding God's word in our hearts.
