When it comes to sin, Jesus wants us to take drastic measures to avoid it. Consider what He says in Matthew 5:27-29. His words are clear. The question is, are we ready to go as far as we need to?
Have you ever said, "I don't have enough time to...?" We all have. It is true that we are busy. But being busy is a decision. If we're going to grow our faith, we need to be disciplined with our time. Jesus is our example of what it looks like to utilize our time.
The fruit of the Spirit is self-control. The apostle Paul in Galatians 5 speaks of Self-Control. He says, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh." "But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law." "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." Sadly, Christians can become addicted too many things. There's hope! We can break free from these addictions and be devoted to things that are good! There was a household in Corinth who were devoted (addicted) to ministry to the saints! What does that mean? Is it possible for us to do the same? The answer is Yes! This is what this podcast discusses.
I'm really excited about this new endeavor. In this episode, I share my journey with podcasting and how this podcast came to be. I also share a passage from the Sermon on the Mount by Jesus which is always good for us to hear and remember!
