July 26, 2022UFC 277 Preview with Billy WardHere, The Action Network's and Fantasy Labs MMA writer Billy Ward and I preview UFC 277 taking place this Saturday night in Dallas. First, we talk about the main event, which is a rematch of one of the UFC's biggest shocks when Julianna Pena submitted Amanda Nunes at UFC 269 last December. Billy reminds me of George St. Pierre and Anderson Silva losing as massive favorites during their UFC reigns. Billy is intrigued with Amanda's odds, but he questions whether Nunes is motivated at this stage of this career. I respond whether Pena fought her perfect fight, or whether Nunes can still like motivated like her usual self. Unlike women's UFC fights, this fight is likely to end in a stoppage with two submission artists. Onto the co-main event, where Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France will be fighting for the UFC Interim Flyweight belt. With Kara-France from New Zealand, we discuss how many good UFC fighters have come from Australia and New Zealand the past few years. Despite Moreno as a betting favorite, Kara-France intrigues us with his knockout power and striking. We also look back at their 2019 fight where Moreno beat the Kiwi. Billy believes both fighters have matured and become better fighters since their first bout. Afterwards, Billy wanted to discuss the heavyweight tilt between Sergei Pavlovich and Derrick Lewis. If UFC fans are hoping for a quick fight, this heavyweight bout stands out as a great possibility for a fast stoppage. Pavlovich's first four UFC fights have all ended in first-round knockouts while each one of Lewis' last five fights has ended in a knockout. With two powerful strikers, this fight offers the chance of a quick stoppage, which would be great for GPP tournaments. We conclude this episode by talking how the UFC has kept going through the COVID-19 pandemic and our favorite Cash fighters for Saturday's card. ...more30minPlay

July 11, 2022150th Open Championship Preview with Matt VincenziIn this episode, Fantasy Labs writer and Action Network betting expert Matt Vincenzi and I preview the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews. First, we talk St. Andrews - the home of golf. I believe St. Andrews feels like the pinnacle of golf. Matt responds with how The Old Course is only 350 yards or so longer than when it started hosting Open Championships. Like most link courses, bunkers are always in play. With Hell, Shell, and the Road-hole bunker, St. Andrews will look ao its sand as a major defense. Matt explains how Jack Nicklaus told Tiger Woods that the miss is left At. St Andrews. We also discuss how Scotland's wind will affect The Open. Heading into this year's Open Championship Xander Schauffele has won his last two starts - including last week's Scottish Open. Despite these wins, Xander is still looking for his first major. Despite two wins and plenty of Open success, we are fading Xander from our betting and DFS advice. We then give our favorite bets for this year's Open. Matt likes Jordan Spieth, Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, and Louis Oosthuizen. I like Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Max Homa, and Adam Scott. We then give out our favorite GPP DFS and chalk plays for DraftKings. We close out this episode by giving our picks for who will hoist the Claret Jug. Matt likes Cameron Smith while The Big D backs Will Zalatoris to finally get his first major at the home of golf....more32minPlay
July 10, 2022150th Open Championship Preview with Tom JacobsIn this episode, English golf betting expert Tom Jacobs and I preview the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews. First, we talk about The Old Course- the home of golf. This course was founded in the 1500s. St. Andrews has hosted 29 Open Championships. Tom says how Americans have won four of the last five Opens at St. Andrews. We mention two former Open champions at St. Andrews - Tiger Woods and Louis Oosthuizen. I mention how golfers fall in love with certain places, and both golfers have done great in multiple events here. When St. Andrews last hosted the 2015 Open, Tom remembers betting Louis and Mark Leishman. He reminds me how Zach Johnson did not have any chance of winning The Open. Johnson beat Louis and Leishman in a four-hole playoff to win the Claret Jug. Tom then gives me some Open trivia regarding the 2015 Open involving Australians and Americans. Betting becomes the next major subject. Tom likes Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, Robert Macintyre, and Danny Willett. I like defending Open champion Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Adam Scott, and Max Homa. We also give our favorite chalky golfers for DFS. We then give our picks for who wins The Open. I like Zalatoris while Tom believes Xander will finally win his first major. ...more43minPlay

July 06, 2022AFC South Preview with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I preview the AFC South. The Tennessee Titans won this division in route to the AFC's top seed last year. The Indianpolis Colts, Houston Texans, and Big D's Jacksonville Jaguars round out the rest of the AFC South. First, we talk Titans. For Tennessee, Derrick Henry is the focal point of this offense. With an ability to run thru and past defenders, the Titans rely on their main back. Despite injuries costing him much of the 2021 season, Henry will be a key to Tennessee's offense. We also look at how AJ Brown's absence will affect Ryan Tannehill. Mike Vrabel has also established himself as one of the NFL's best young coaches. We look at where the former Pats linebacker ranks among NFL coaches. Onto Indy, where the Colts are led by Jonathan Taylor. In his first two NFL seasons. Taylor led the NFL with 1,811 rushing yards in 2021. Together with Micheal Pittman Jr. the Colts will depend on two 2020 draft picks. This year, Matt Ryan will be Indy's new starter after the Colts traded Carson Wentz. We look at if the former Falcon will provide a steady leader under center. We also look at the pressure on Frank Reich to win after missing the playoffs last season. The Texans are next in the AFC South discussion. We look at Davis Mills' potential as Houston's starting quarterback. Brandin Cooks is one of Houston's few stars. We look at whether he can keep his seven-year streak of 1,000-yard seasons with four different teams. We finish this division with Dylan's Jags. After back-to-back No. 1 overall picks. I am sick and tired of losing. Luckily. Doug Pederson replaced Urban Meyer, who did not even last one season as Jacksonville's new head coach. Pederson will look to improve 2021 No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, who accounted for 12 touchdowns while throwing 17 interceptions in his rookie season. Despite a losing season, I have not lost any faith in Lawrence's ability to lead this franchise for the next several years. Despite not playing last year, Alex is excited to see Travis Etienne's PPR upside play in 2022. Lawrence and Etienne played three years together at Clemson. I am also concerned former Arizona Cardinal receiver Christian Kirk will live up to his monster contract in Duval County. We conclude this episode by both predicting Indy to win this division, and Alex tries to stump me with some Jags trivia from Jacksonville's first draft in 1995....more34minPlay
July 06, 2022NFL Redraft Fantasy Football League with Kyle SenraIn this episode, Kyle Senra and I discuss redraft fantasy football leagues. Kyle explains how each new NFL season allows teams to draft new rosters. Unlike dynasty or keeper leagues, teams select an entire new year worth of players. Kyle likes making tiers to give himself a good range to draft players. At the running back position, Colts star Jonathan Taylor looks like the top choice. He also likes Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry despite their recent history. I believe Lions star D'Andre Swift's PPR upside puts him in the top tier of running backs. We also looks at where Saints running back Alvin Kamara injuries and potential suspension will affect his ranking. Kyle then ranks Austin Ekeler, Joe Mixon, Najee Harris, and Saquon Barkley in the second tier of running backs. At quarterback, Josh Allen is our first quarterback in redraft leagues. Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes join Allen in Kyle's top tier of quarterbacks. Herbert, especially, could be a value in the fourth or fifth rounds. Onto the birds, Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, and Jalen Hurts bring plenty of rushing upside in addition to their passing talents. We also look at where Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will be drafted in redraft leagues. I ask Kyle where he ranks Jacksonville Jaguars 2021 No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence on his redraft list. Kyle prefers 2021-first rounder Justin Fields over Lawrence. Rams star Cooper Kupp and Vikings young stud Justin Jefferson are our favorite receiver targets. Afterwards, Ja'Marr Chase and Stefon Diggs are in the top tier for redraft leagues. We then look at whether stacking is viable in redraft leagues. We conclude by looking at the top tight ends in redraft leagues. Chiefs star Travis Kelce remains the top options. We offer different opinions on Falcons young star Kyle Pitts and 49ers veteran George Kittle. Ravens tig...more53minPlay
June 30, 2022NFC South Preview with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I preview the NFC South. The Tampa Bay Bucs reinged supreme in 2021. The New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers round out the rest of the division. First, we start with Tom Brady and the Bucs. Tampa won the NFC South before losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. After a brief retirement, Tom Brady returned for the 2022 season. Bruce Arians left the sidelines; Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles became Tampa's new coach. We look at how Tampa will transition under Bowles. We also look at how Tampa will play without Chris Godwin, who is likely to miss the first month or so coming off a torn ACL last December. After the Bucs, we look at the Saints. For the first time since 2005, Sean Payton will not be coaching (Except when he was suspended for one year). Dennis Allen replace Payton as head coach. Jameis Winston is back after tearing his ACL last season. Taysom Hill, who was played several positions, will not be a quarterback and play tight end this year. With a likely suspension for star running back Alvin Kamara, we look at how NO will replace is offensive star. Alex looks at how Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave could be important receivers for the Saints. We also wonder whether Michael Thomas can stay healthy after a pair of injury-plagued seasons. Onto Atlanta, we both like 2021 first-round Kyle Pitts' ability. For the first time since 2007, Matt Ryan will not be starting after being traded to the Colts. Marcus Mariota and Cincinnati rookie Desmond Ridder will look to replace Ryan. Finally, the Panthers are the fourth team to be discussed. We both like the PPR consistency of Christian McCaffrey. Despite nagging injuries, CMC provides rushing and receiving upside unlike no other running back in the NFL. Carolina's biggest problem is who will be the franchise quarterback now and for the foreseeable future. Sam Darnold and Ole Miss rookie Matt Corral will compete to start in Charlotte. Current Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield may be traded to the Panthers if Carolina needs an upgrade. Alex mentions how Panthers head coach Matt Rhule is under pressure to win in 2022. With an aggressive owner and struggling quarterbacks, the Panthers could look at a new coach with a cold 2022. We then talk about some fun NFC South trivia. Alex gives me a question about the top Falcons top passing yards leaders. I respond with which country music star was at both Super Bowls the Bucs won. While we both likes the Bucs to win this division, we discuss Tampa's chances to give TB12 another ring in 2022....more32minPlay
June 28, 2022UFC 276 Preview with Billy WardHere, UFC Fantasy Labs writer/betting expert Billy Ward and I preview UFC 276 taking place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 2. We start this episode by talking about the Middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier. Adesanya is coming into this fight with a 22-1 record. His only loss came as a light-heavyweight against Jan Błachowicz last year. Cannonier enters this fight coming off a knockout win against Derek Brunson in February. Despite the champ's big odds, Billy believes Cannonier is the right play for this fight from a betting and DraftKings. Adesanya is not only the most expensive fighter, but his fighting style does not score points. Billy also remembers how Blachowicz controlled Adesanya. He also remembers how Adesanya weighed just 200.5 pounds for a fight at 205 pounds. In the co-main event, Alex Volkanovski and Max Holloway's trilogy will decide the UFC Featherweight fight. Despite Volkanovski winning both fights, some people may argue Holloway won the second fight. Billy likes Volkanovski's strength and power despite being shorter than the former champ. Unlike the main event, this fight could have both fighters in the optimum lineup. Vol and Holloway throw plenty of volume and scoring upside in a five-round fight. With two 25-minute fights against each, this could be another classic. I bring up how Holloway has taken a lot of damage and usually goes the distance in every fight. We then discuss our other favorite fights. Billy likes the Middleweight fight between Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira. I like seeing two old UFC fighters, "Cowboy" Cerrone and Jim Miller, meet in the Octagon. When then discuss our cash and GPP strategy for this weekend's DK slate. With plenty of time before Saturday's fights, the decision over which fighters to use in cash and tournaments will be important to make it a winning week. ...more33minPlay
