May 13, 20222022 NFL Schedule Release with Alex BleuelIn today's episode, Alex Bleuel and I look back at last night's 2022 NFL Schedule Release, which revealed the entire 2022 NFL schedule. We look forward to the NFL's first game between the Buffalo Bills and defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams. We both cannot wait to see this game between two of the NFL's best teams on Sep. 8 in LA. The Bills possess one of the NFL's most exciting quarterbacks in Josh Allen. Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis lead Buffalo's receivers. The Bills will also bring one of the NFL's top defenses with former Ram, Von Miller, joining the party in Western New York. The Rams offense is led by one of the MFL's best quarterback-receiver duos in Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. LA's defense is led by the NFL's best defensive player in Aaron Donald. Shutdown corner Jalen Ramsey leads a strong Rams secondary. After that opening chat, we turn our attention to Alex's Dolphins and my Jaguars. We look at Jacksonville's schedule, which begins with a Week 1 trip to the Washington Commanders. In this game, Jacksonville will be looking to end a 17-game road losing streak and a 16-game losing streak against NFC teams. The Jags then take on the Colts before a Week 3 encounter against the LA Chargers. Week 4 offers a Doug Pederson homecoming as the former Eagles coach leads the Jags to Philadelphia against the Eagles. A four game stretch against the Broncos, Raiders, Chiefs, and Ravens threatens to test 2021 No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jags. Onto Miami, the Dolphins begin their 2022 campaign against the New England Patriots. After a Week 2 tilt against the Baltimore Ravens, the Fins face the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. After an easier stretch, a five-game stretch against the 49ers, Chargers, Bills, Packers, and Pats will surely have plenty to say about whether Miami will be a playoff game in January. We then discuss which teams got a scheduling break with last night's release. Alex likes the Steelers, which do not leave the Eastern time zone at all this season. I like Pennsylvania's other team - the Eagles, which do not face many top passers except Arizona's Kyler Murray. The discussion changes to our favorite game on the 2022 season. I am looking forward to another game between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. After their Super Bowl LV loss, the Chiefs will be looking for revenge against the GOAT in another fantastic Sunday Night Football thriller. I also bring up how the Bucs played in TB12's homecoming to Foxboro in Week 4 last year Alex likes the 19-year age difference in a Week 15 dual between Joe Burrow and the Bengals against the Bucs. This game would be the first meeting between Burrow and Brady. Finally, this episode ends with our favorite revenge game. Alex picks Russell Wilson's return to Seattle in Monday Night Football's opener between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. I pick Mike McCarthy's return to Green Bay as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers in a Week 10 showdown. McCarthy spent 13 years as the Packers head coach, where he won Super Bowl XLV in Arlington. Dallas will also remember whether Dez Bryant caught a Tony Romo pass in the 2014 Divisional Playoff game between the Cowboys and Packers. ...more34minPlay
May 11, 2022NASCAR with @FantasyBoscoIn this NASCAR episode, @FantasyBosco and I take a look at this past Sunday's Goodyear 400 and drivers running well into Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. First, we look back to NASCAR's throwback race at Darlington, which saw Joey Logano shove William Byron on route to his first win of the 2022 season. Bosco explains how drivers often race how you race them. I respond with why Logano is one of NASCAR's most aggressive drivers with an aggressive driving history throughout his driving career. I also say Logano needed a win after going more than a year since his last win. We are intrigued if Byron would return to favor if he could get revenge on Joey. After the Logano/Byron chat, we switch to which drivers are running well. I believe Chase Elliott is running well with one win and nine top-tens. Bosco explains that the hole Hendrick Motorsports team is looking well. He also believes it is a matter of time before Kyle Busch stars winning more in 2022. We then look at TrackHouse Racing, which has won two races. Alva's Ross Chastain won the first two races of his Cup Series career. What impresses The Big D is not just his wins but his great finishes at difficult and playoff tracks. Afterwards, we look at what's wrong with 2012 champion Brad Keselowski, who has just finished in the top-10 once in his first year as an owner-driver with his own team. Bosco explains how this car is way longer and less consistent than his old car with Penske Racing. He also asks me whether Brad K may have too much owning and driving his own cars. We then look at NASCAR's Next Gen Car's performance through 12 races. We both believe this car favors a young driver like Ross Chastain. It seems like this car is far more difficult to control. Kyle Larson has spun out the past two races. Bosco loves how this car has created more parity, but this car has made Martinsville and Dover harder to pass. We conclude by looking forward to Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Last year, Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson won both races at Kansas. We predict what will happen on Sunday. ...more33minPlay
May 03, 2022UFC 274 with Billy WardIn this episode, MMA writer Billy Ward and I preview UFC 274 taking place Saturday night in Glendale, Arizona. We begin our conversation by talking about one of 2022's most anticipated fights: In UFC 274's main event, Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje battle for the UFC Lightweight belt in a fight MMA fans have been exciting to see. Oliveira is coming into this fight winning his last 10 fights including knocking out Michael Chandler and submitting Dustin Poirier in his first two title fights. With 15 UFC submissions, Oliveira enters this fights as one of the UFC's most dangerous and versatile submission artists. We then move to Gaethje and discuss his road to UFC 274. This will be Gaethje's second Lightweight Championship belt after losing to the Lightweight king Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254. After defeating Michael Chandler, Gaethje will have another shot at becoming the UFC's best 155-pound fighter. Billy believes Gaethje needs to use his power and be aggressive against the champion. He also believes both fighters need to be flexible in this bout. I respond with how important Oliveira's reach could be huge in this fight. Onto Saturday's co-main event, where Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza reacquaint for the UFC Women's Strawweight belt. Esparza won the first fight during The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned Finale in 2014. We look at how both fighters have changed since their first bout. Rose is coming into Saturday's rematch winning nine of her last 11 fights - including consecutive wins over Zhang Weili. Billy is interested in this fight going all 25 minutes. With both fighters looking durable, this fight could go a look way. I am still deciding whether to use one or both fighters for cash. With Namajunas a -220 favorite, using Esparza will be a risk-reward strategy in both tournaments and cash builds. After those championship bouts, we talk about other favorite bouts this weekend. Billy likes the excitement in the Michael Chandler-Tony Ferguson fight. This fight will likely have plenty of scoring for DFS fans, and a knockout seems very plausible. I am intrigued to see Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone and Joe Lauzon fight. With two fighters needing a win, these veterans will be looking for a big win. Billy is worried Cerrone has taken too many hits in his MMA career. We both agree this fight will not be popular for DFS users. We also discuss our cash-game and GPP strategy for this weekend's PPV card. With two five-round title fights, we both like having at least one if not both championship fighters. With the main event, it is almost assured that the Oliveira/Gaethje winner will be in the winning lineup. Having all four fighters in cash builds will lessen the chance of getting multiple winning lineups. I explain how my process could change before Saturday's lineups are locked. ...more38minPlay
April 27, 2022Walking and Rolling with America's Race-Walking Queen Robyn StevensIn this episode, America's race-walking queen Robyn Stevens and I talk about her 2022 walking adventures. Robyn is spending three months training and racing with other Spanish and Ecuadorian race-walkers. Robyn enjoys training with all of these walkers. Robyn is competing in several events around Europe this Spring. This past weekend, Robyn set a new American record while finishing fifth in the 35K with a time of 2:49:29 in Dudince, Slovakia. Robyn explains how a tight hamstring almost her a chance at breaking the record. She explains how the injury management helped her manage the injury. Six days before the 35K in Dudince, Robyn actually stopped and was not 100 percent confident her hamstring would make it. Unlike runners, race-walkers could be disqualified for getting too many yellow or red cards. Until the last 8-10 kilometers, Robyn's hamstring felt fine. Then, her hamstring tightened. Despite the pain, Robyn toughed her race to not only break the American record, but she also achieved the World Championship automatic qualifier. Robyn also knew she would in all likelihood have to grit her way to the finish. The day after the race, Robyn limped her way around Budapest. She also learned how important stretching is for all race-walkers and runners. We then talk how injuries affect athletes in different sports. In May, Robyn will be competing in the World Athletics Race Walking Tour with races in Madrid and Coruña. We then look forward to the 2022 World Athletics Championships, which will be America's first time hosting this event in Eugene, Oregon. Robyn has already qualified for the 35K walk on July 22. and could attempt the 20K a week earlier on July 15. Robyn also calls Eugene Heaven for American runners and athletes. Robyn is so excited for a running city like Eugene to finally host the World Championships this July. ...more36minPlay
April 26, 2022Jacksonville Jaguars Miami Dolphins: 2022 NFL Draft with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I debate our favorite NFL teams before the 2022 NFL Draft. First, we look at Dylan's Jags, which go enter the draft with the No. 1 pick for the second consecutive year. While most people believe Jacksonville will either take Georgia's Travon Walker or Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson, I want the Jags to provide Trevor Lawrence with more protection. Alabama's Evan Neal and NC State's "Ickey" Ekwonu are the two best offensive linemen, and either tackle would make Jacksonville's line much stronger. After Big D's Jags, we look at Alex Dolphins. Unlike the Jags with the No. 1 pick, Miami enters the draft with just four picks. Miami traded a first- and second-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for Tyreek Hill. Alex answers whether the trade was worth it to acquire Cheetah. He believes Miami made a good move in acquiring a star receiver for draft picks. Despite trading several picks from this year's draft, Miami has kept both of its 2023 first-round picks, which would provide the Fins with a Plan B if 2020 first-round Tua Tagovailoa does not improve in his third NFL season. We also look at Miami's recent drafts, which resulted in hits and misses for Alex's Dolphins. Then, we look at teams that should be making a trade up the draft. I believe the Green Bay Packers need to give reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers another receiver after trading Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. With GB having two first-rounders, I think the Packers need to package multiple picks for a top wideout. We end our discussion by discussing whether we would like to add Deebo Samuel. This shows our different opinions on the SF 49ers star. Alex believes the Jets should go after Samuel, while I am not a fan of adding him. I made a prediction SF will not trade Deebo to the New York Jets. ...more35minPlay
April 26, 20222022 NFL Draft with David MoultonIn this episode, David Moulton and I discuss our feelings heading into the 2022 NFL Draft. First, we discuss what the Jacksonville Jaguars will do with the No. 1 overall pick. While most experts believe the Jags will either take Georgia's Travon Walker, David thinks the Jags could give Trevor Lawrence another star offensive lineman. The two likely candidates would then be Alabama's Evan Neal or NC State's Ikem Ekwonu. David is not high on either pass-rusher, and he believes a team taking a pass-rusher with the No. 1 overall pick needs to guarantee double-digit sacks every season. While Hutchinson and Walker could provide a prolific pass rush, the Jags could give Lawrence more protection and a better running game with solidifying their offensive line. The Jags appear to be leaning on drafting Walker or Hutchinson with their top draft choice. Then, we look at this year's top wide receivers. David believes six or more receivers could be first-rounders. The questions is when teams start running to draft receivers. The Houston Texans No. 13 pick could be a prime target for a team needing a receiver. Ohio State's Garrett Wilson and Alabama's Jameson Williams appear to be the top receivers. He also thinks the New York Jets with their No. 10 pick may look at receiver. David is worried about USC's Drake London injury and lack of speed and conditioning at a recent workout. After the pass-catchers, we look at this year's top quarterbacks. Unlike most years, this year's quarterbacks do not look like other top choices like Lawrence, Joe Burrow, or Kyler Murray. Liberty's Malik Willis and Pitt's Kenny Pickett appear to be the top passers. While neither guy lacks the talent of other top passers, teams almost always look for quarterbacks early in drafts. The New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be two rumored teams looking at quarterbacks. Then we look at Cincinnati's "Sauce" Gardner and LSU's Derek Stingley Jr. David believes both cornerbacks will be top-10 picks. David remembers Stingley as college football's best cornerback in 2019. He also thinks Stingley may have been trying to prevent injury after his Freshman season. David believes Gardner could be a top-three pick on Thursday night. We conclude this episode by discussing which teams should consider aggressive moves on Thursday night. David likes the Chiefs to be aggressive with eight draft picks in the first four rounds. He also believes KC's recent aggression in dealing before and during drafts could lead to action. The Big D believes the Green Bay Packers will finally package picks for a receiver. Despite the Packers not making many moves up the draft except for Jordan Love in 2020, GB needs to give Aaron Rodgers another receiver....more34minPlay

April 26, 2022Buffalo Bills 2022 NFL Draft with Jeff BellHere, Buffalo Bills guru Jeff Bell and I preview Buffalo's outlook for Thursday's NFL Draft. Heading into Thursday's draft in Las Vegas, the Bills will have the 25th pick. We look at where the Bills could go with the No. 25 pick. As in most recent drafts, wide receiver is becoming more and more valued in the NFL. More teams are using three- and four-receiver sets. I explain how the top receivers, including Ohio State's Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, USC's Drake London, Bama's Jameson Williams, and Arkansas phenom Treylon Burks, could all be gone by Buffalo's first choice - meaning the Bills may need an aggressive move to secure a dynamic weapon. I really think the Bills need a speed weapon with Josh Allen's huge arm and mobility. While wide receiver could be addressed, I think the Bills need another cornerback with Tre'Davious White coming off a torn ACL. Jeff explains how the Bills have developed cornerbacks around White. With White nearing 30 and coming off a serious injury, the Bills may address this position. Cincinnati's "Sauce" Gardner and LSU's Derek Stingley Jr. should be the top cornerbacks in Thursday's first round. I then bring up how Bills general manager has been a draft master the past several years. I explain Beane's draft hits including star passer Josh Allen. Beane also traded Buffalo's first-round pick in 2020 for star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. For Jeff, Iowa State running back Breece Hall intrigues him as a potential No. 1 running back. With Hall's rushing at Iowa State, he could give the Bills a dynamic rusher to give Allen more help. While some teams may ignore a running back in the first round, the Bills may look at Hall late on Thursday. We also take a look at the quarterback carousel for this year's draft. Unlike most years, there does not appear to be a franchise star quarterback. We both believe that Liberty's Malik Willis will likely be the first QB drafted on Thursday. With teams not looking to draft Willis high, he could fall to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 20th pick. I then quiz Jeff on the 2013 draft, where the Bills took EJ Manuel as the only first-round quarterback on that year's class. ...more29minPlay
April 21, 2022Florida Everblades with Michael NevilleIn this episode, Florida Everblades forward Michael Neville talk about his hockey career, which has taken him from Canada to Southwest Florida. First, we talk about his early hockey career. Neville explains how he fell in love with Graf skates early in his hockey career. Then, he switched to Bauer skates as a teenager, which he has used since those early Graf skates. Like most Canadians, hockey has been huge in Mike's life. He remembers seeing legendary hockey personality Don Cherry host Hockey Night in Canada. Michael is a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and he loved seeing Mats Sundin in a Maple Leaf sweater. Michael was drafted to the Ontario Hockey League, but he really wanted a college scholarship. He attended Michigan Technological University on a hockey scholarship. We switch the conversation to how hockey players train before and during the season. Michael explains that hockey players do core and leg exercises leading into the next season. Then, hockey players are mostly on the ice. Throughout a game, hockey players block putts. Michael is so relieved he got a pair of skates with shot-blockers to provide extra padding for his feet. While painful, this sacrifice is always helpful and showing his toughness for his teammates. Michael has received six fighting majors this ECHL season. He believes fighting can win the respect of his teammates. He also talks about the tough opponents he has fought this year. We end this episode by previewing the Kelly Cup Playoffs, which will begin tomorrow night. The Florida Everblades host the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Michael says the Swamp Rabbits possess plenty of speed and an ability to get under your skin. Michael is also hoping to capture his first professional title after winning titles in his Junior and college career. ...more25minPlay
April 19, 2022KellyInPhoenix Talks Arizona Cardinals & NFL Draft with Big DIn this episode, @KellyInPhoenix and I talk Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals' plans for the 2022 NFL Draft. First, we talk Kyler. Unlike several young NFL studs, the Cards and Kyler have failed to reach a contract extension. we debate whether both sides should come to a long-term extension. Kelly believes her Cards should wait and give Kyler one more year before deciding on a mega extension. I believe Kyler is improving, and Arizona should look at signing its franchise star. We also debate how the Cardinals could put themselves in a similar position to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Instead of signing him to a new deal, the Ravens just exercised their fifth-year option without adding more years. While dealing with injuries, Lamar could not lead Baltimore into the playoffs. Both sides have still not agreed on a contract extension. We also look into the role of Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Last year, Arizona started 10-2 before losing five of its last six games - including a Wild Card loss to the eventual Super Bowl Champions LA Rams. Kelly is not happy with Arizona's struggles to finish seasons. I explain how good teams often get better in November and December. Meanwhile, the Cards start off well before fading in the colder months. Then, we move onto the NFL Draft. The Cards currently own the 23rd pick in next Thursday's NFL Draft. We look at Arizona's big decisions. On offense, we both believe Arizona should look at wide receiver and the offensive line. Kelly likes USC's Drake London's big frame and catch radius. I like Ohio State's Chris Olave and Penn State's Jahan Dotson if both guys are available. With so many top receivers in every draft, this position is sure to see plenty of movement in the next 10 days. The Cards could add more offensive line help for Kyler. Onto defense, the Cards should look to address pass-rusher and cornerback. I really like Florida's Kaiir Elam to shutdown the NFC West's best receivers. Kelly responds with how the Cards need an edge-rusher with Chandler Jones in Las Vegas. Finally, Kelly stumps the Big D with a funny draft trivia question involving a former Cardinal player. ...more30minPlay
