April 14, 2022NFL Draft and Dynasty with Jesse MoellerIn tonight's episode, Jesse Moeller and I discuss the 2022 NFL Draft and Dynasty Football. First, we look at what Big D's Jacksonville Jaguars should do with the No. 1 pick in this month's NFL Draft. We both agree the Jags will look for either an offensive lineman or pass-rusher. While I would rather trade the No. 1 pick. I believe we will likely take Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson. Then we look at two college receivers who could be dynasty studs as rookies. Jesse looks at Arkansas wideout Treylon Burks. Burks racked up over 1,100 yards, including an eight-catch, 179-yard- two-touchdown effort against Alabama. I love Ohio State's Garrett Wilson's speed and route running. Onto NFL Dynasty, we start with two quarterbacks who could exceed expectations. Jesse likes Raiders star Derek Carr. I like 49ers second-year quarterback Trey Lance. At running back, I like Broncos second-year stud Javonte Williams as long as Denver does not sign Melvin Gordon. Despite the injuries, Jesse still likes Christian McCaffrey. Onto wide receivers, we look at dynasty wide receivers. Jesse likes D.J. Moore's speed in Charlotte. The Big D likes another Bronco in Jerry Jeudy to breakthrough with Russell Wilson in Denver. We end this episode by talking about two guys we are looking to draft on several dynasty teams. Jesse likes Jakobi Meyers, while I like Buffalo's Gabriel Davis. ...more39minPlay
April 10, 2022The Big D Recaps the 2022 MastersIn this live stream, The Big D reacts to Scottie Scheffler winning the 2022 Masters. I explain his incredible field to win his first major. I explain how his recovery on the 18th hole yesterday and his chip-in at No. 3 today showed his clutch wedge shots. I then switch to Rory Mcllroy's incredible final round 64 - which included an eagle at the Par-5 13. I explain how Rory's game seems to fit Augusta despite not putting on the Green Jacket in his eighth attempt to complete the Grand Slam. I then try to answer why Rory's opening rounds put so far behind he is unable to overcome the deficit. I then look back at Rory's and Collin Morikawa's back-to-back chip-ins at the 18th hole. I then talk about Tiger Woods's return to golf. Despite a struggle on the weekend, I believe golf is in a different place with Tiger playing. I also show my excitement in Tiger playing The 150th Open at St. Andrews in July. I also bring up a stat in Scheffler joining Tiger and Jordan Spieth as young golfers to win the Masters....more17minPlay
April 04, 2022Masters Preview with Geoff UlrichIn this episode, Awesemo Golf Expert and I preview the 2022 Masters! We begin our discussion by looking at the new No. 1 golfer - Scottie Scheffler. With three wins in 2022, Scheffler has established himself as a favorite. He is also looking to win his first major. We are intrigued by Scheffler's consistency and wins. Geoff likes Scottie more from a DraftKings perspective. We then take a look at Rory Mcllroy's chances of completing the Grand Slam. Despite no Green Jacket, Geoff likes how Rory fits Augusta with his driving ability. We also do not care about Rory missing the cut at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio. I bring up how Rory is following reigning Masters champ Hideki Matsuyama's path to a Green Jacker last year. We look at Augusta's two big changes. The Par-4 11th hole is now 520 yards, while the par-5 15th is now 550 holes. We both believe the 11th hole will be even harder with the hole now even longer. The Masters also tends to give the drivers a huge advantage with likely 14 drivers on 18 tee shots. We then take a look at our favorite guys with longer odds. Geoff likes Daniel Berger. Despite blowing the Honda Classic, Berger's steady game works well at majors. He also likes Adam Scott. I really like Corey Conners and Joaquín Niemann with longer odds. Niemann won Riviera, which is fairly similar to Augusta. Geoff likes my Niemann play with his all-around game. After our favorite bets, we look at Fantasy National to make our DFS/DK lineups. Geoff explains his modeling to make his DK lineups. We both believe ownership is an important key to avoid duplicate lineups. We also look at which golfers will be chalky. Geoff mentions Justin Thomas with his price tag cheaper than Scheffler, Jon Rahm, and Dustin Johnson. We are also interested in Jordan Spieth's and Cameron Smith's ownership. Finally, we deliver our winning picks. Geoff is going with Justin Thomas while The Big D is banking on Xander Schauffele to capture the Green Jacket. ...more41minPlay
April 03, 2022Masters Preview with Tom JacobsIn this episode, English golf betting expert Tom Jacobs and I preview The Masters: 2022's first major! We start by looking at new world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler! With three wins in 2022, Scheffler has vaulted to the No. 1 player heading into Augusta! Tom mentions how Ted Scott, who caddied for both of Bubba Watson's Masters wins, is with Scheffler. Jon Rahm may not be going into 2022's first major with momentum, but his major game is still a strong threat. We both like Rahm's chances with a strong putter. We also answer the question whether Rory Mcllroy can finally complete his Grand Slam with a Green Jacket. I explain how Augusta should fit Rory's game, but this course is more mentally challenging for him. Onto golf's biggest name, we look at the potential rumors of Tiger Woods of playing his first official golf tournament since the 2020 Masters. Tiger, himself, tweeted his plans over whether to play at Augusta. We then look at Augusta's two lengthened holes. The Par-4 11th is now 520 yards, and the Par-5 15th is now 550 yards. We both think the 11th hole will see a bigger change with the hole getting longer. Tom is intrigued by how the length will impact the Masters. We look at our favorite bets at the Masters. Tom likes Brooks Kopeka and Will Zalatoris. He also likes Bubba and Justin Rose. I really like Canada's Corey Conners' history at the Masters. I really like Joaquín Niemann, who won at Riviera - a course that is very similar to Augusta. We then give our picks for the Masters, Tom likes Scottie Scheffler to continue his strong form. I am picking Xander Schauffele to finally get his first major at the Masters....more36minPlay
March 24, 2022Tyreek Hill to Miami with Alex Bleuel! In this episode, Miami Dolphins fan Alex Bleuel and I look at the Miami Dolphins acquiring Kansas City Chiefs speed receiver Tyreek Hill for five draft picks and signing him on a record contract. We react to this blockbuster deal. We both like this trade for Miami. I believe the Fins stole the NFL's fastest receiver in Tyreek Hill. I was stunned after hearing KC traded its No. 1 receiver. Despite giving up five draft picks, including a 2022 first-rounder, Miami kept both of its 2023 first-round draft choices. With Cheetah in Miami, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel can guide one of the NFL's fastest offenses led by Jaylen Waddle, Cedrick Wilson, Mike Gesicki, Chase Edmunds, and Raheem Mostert. Third-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa now can throw to several exciting weapons every Sunday. I also bring how Tua was one of the NFL's quickest releases last year. Waddle and Hill each caught a lot of quick passes in 2021. We also look at the pressure Tua will face with a much stronger offense and an offensive-minded head coach. With Miami making big moves, I believe Tua is facing a critical year. We both believe Tua will be gone if he does not work in 2022. We also differ at Tua's passing potential. We switch to what the loss of Cheetah means for the Chiefs. I believe KC will miss its speedy receiver opening up offenses. With Patrick Mahomes' huge arm, and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs put teams into struggles with two unstoppable weapons. The AFC's West other three teams have also added stars. I believe the Chiefs need to follow Minnesota's path after trading Stefon Diggs while replacing him with Justin Jefferson. With 12 picks, KC can be very aggressive in acquiring a receiver. I bring up the idea in the Chiefs acquiring DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks. The Chiefs added Marquez Valdes-Scantling following the recording of this podcast. ...more32minPlay
March 16, 2022Packers, Free Agency Winners, and Losers with Kyle SenraIn this episode, Kyle Senra and I talk Green Bay Packers and who is winning and losing early in NFL Free Agency! First we talk about Kyle's Green Bay Packers! This month has been busy with Green Bay signing Aaron Rodgers to a monster contract and franchising his No. 1 Target, Davante Adams! We also look at GB keeping De'Vondre Campbell on a five-year deal after an amazing 2021 in Green Bay. We both believe GB is trying everything to give Rodgers another Super Bowl. While the Packers can make the cap work this season, future years will have cap crunches with these contracts. We also look at where the Packers should go with the No. 28 picks in April's NFL Draft. Kyle likes the Pack taking a wide receiver or right tackle. Then we look to Free Agency. We start with our winners. Kyle likes Denver with the Broncos getting Russell Wilson, D.J. Jones and Randy Gregory. I love the Los Angeles Chargers getting J.C. Jackson and Khalil Mack to bolster their defense. With winners, there are always losers. Despite being early in free agency. Kyle picks the New England Patriots for losing Jackson and not giving Mac Jones a deep threat. I believe NE could still sign Allen Robinson. I believe the Cowboys lost a number of key pieces in Amari Cooper, Randy Gregory, Cedric Wilson, and Connor Williams. ...more37minPlay
March 15, 2022FGCU Raining Threes with DyTiesha DunsonIn this episode, FGCU basketball alum DyTiesha Dunson and I talk Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball. We discuss what led Dunson to FGCU. She liked the winning and Whitney Knight, who chose FGCU over Duke. The Eagles have won at least 24 games in every season since becoming a Division-I team in 2007-08. We also talk about FGCU head coach Karl Smesko's offense which relies on lay-ups and three-pointers. With this coaching philosophy, FGCU is always one of the country's most prolific three-point shooting teams. DyTiesha also talks about Smesko's famous mile run his players do before every season. We then talk about DyTiesha's NCAA tournament adventures. First, FGCU narrowly lost its first-round game against Oklahoma State in 2014. Then, the Eagles returned the favor to get their first NCAA tournament win against the Cowgirls in Tallahassee. Despite not making another March Madness appearance in 2016, Dunson was a part of FGCU's trek to the WNIT Championship Game in 2016, which came in a loss at South Dakota. Along the way, FGCU beat Wake Forest and Michigan. The conversation then shifts to "Raining Threes" and what makes FGCU a dynamic three-point shooting team. In FGCU's last five NCAA tournament appearances, FGCU has always been a double-digit seed. We answer why FGCU is always undervalued in women's college basketball. This year, FGCU received a No. 12 seed in the Spokane region. The Eagles face Virginia Tech in their first-round game on Friday in College Park, Maryland. We discuss FGCU's chances of winning. In this game, both teams like to shoot the basketball. While the Hokies made 275 three-pointers, FGCU made 369 three-pointers. Finally, we look at FGCU's last NCAA tournament win, which came as a No. 12 seed against Missouri in 2018. ...more25minPlay
March 10, 2022Baseball is Back!In what ends 99 days of frustration, agony, and tension, MLB and the MLBPA have agreed on a new CBA to start the 2022 season and complete 162-game season. I explain how excited a diehard baseball fan like me is excited for the new season. I am so ready for the 2022 season to begin on April 7. I explain what is in the new CBA, and there will be plenty for owners, players, and fans to be excited. I also discuss how the expanded postseason could impact teams ending long playoff droughts like the Seattle Mariners. Hopefully, MLB will also have Mike Trout make a memorable playoff run unlike his only playoff run in 2014 against the Kansas City Royals. I then end with what may be the biggest and craziest free agency frenzy in any sports with hundreds of free agents looking for work!...more14minPlay
March 09, 2022NFL Franchise Tag Recap with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I recap the NFL's Franchise Tag period, which ended yesterday with eight players receiving the Franchise Tag. We first look at a pair of star receivers being tagged. First Green Bay Packers star Davante Adams received the tag capping a crazy day for GB after securing Aaron Rodgers to a $200-million contract. We both believe GB felt obligated to tag Adams after signing Rodgers. The tag keeps one of the NFL's best quarterback-receiver duos together in Green Bay. With Rodgers and Adams, the Packers can take one more chance at a Super Bowl. I also look in how GB spent money on its stars despite no singular owner. We also look at Tampa Bay Bucs receiver Chris Godwin receiving the tag for the second straight year. While his injuries made a long-term deal harder, we both think a healthy season could lead Godwin to a monster deal. We also look into whether Tom Brady would come out of retirement. Both of our teams franchised a key player, the Miami Dolphins tagged tight end Mike Gesicki while the Jacksonville Jaguars tagged tackle Cam Robinson. Alex is excited Miami kept Gesicki. He is a little worried Gesicki could be tagged as a wide receiver, which costs around $8 million more on the salary cap than the tight end position. Dylan then breaksdown the Jags tagging Robinson for the second straight year. I explain how this move likely means the Jags will draft Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson in next month's NFL Draft. We then look into a couple of surprises. I breakdown the surprise that the New Patriots did not franchise Immoaklee's J.C. Jackson. With 17 interceptions over his past two years, Jackson is one of the NFL's most exciting free agents. Alex then looks into the Cleveland Browns tagging tight end David Njoku. We conclude with three NFC South free agents, New Orleans Saints tackle Terron Armstead, NO safety Marcus Williams , and Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson. ...more34minPlay
March 08, 2022Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos Here, I discuss the stunning news of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson being dealt to the Denver Broncos. I discuss what Seattle received for trading its franchise icon. I believe the Broncos stole a future hall-of-famer at a cheap price. I explain why the Broncos needed to make a move with several great young pieces. I also believe Denver needed to ended its quarterback carousel after Peyton Manning retired following Super Bowl 50. I am also excited to see what Russ can do in the AFC West with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Derek Carr. I then change to discuss what this trade means for the Seahawks. I explain that this trade puts Seattle in a major rebuild. I explain why Seattle was unable to field a championship team around its star. I also discuss how Russ will be looking for revenge as the Broncos travel to Seattle this upcoming season. I then end with a little trivia involving Russ and Peyton Manning!...more13minPlay
