June 22, 2022AFC North Preview with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I preview the AFC North. Last year, the Cincinnati Bengals won the AFC North. The Pittsburgh Steelers finished second. The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns finished third and fourth respectively. First, we start with the reigning AFC champions, the Cincinnati Bengals. Alex likes what the Bengals have done to protect Joe Burrow. Not only do the Bengals have a dominant trio of receivers in Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. Cincy added free agents La'el Collins and Alex Cappa to a line, which allowed 55 sacks last season. Despite the additions, I am worried about Cincy's lack of a pass-blocking offensive line, and whether the Bengals can break the Super Bowl jinx after the LA Rams beat the Bengals in February. Alex looks at Cincy's brutual end of its 2022 season. We then move onto the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh always plays with a very strong defense. I love T.J. Watt pass-rushing skills. In 2021, Watt tied Michael Strahan's sack record with 22.5. The big question is which quarterback will replace legendary Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who retired after 18 seasons. Mitchell Trubisky and Pitt rookie Kenny Pickett will battle to replace Big Ben. The Ravens are next in the discussion. Lamar Jackson is the main discussion point for the Ravens. Over his four year career, Jackson has amazed the NFL with his rushing and key passing. In 2021, Jackson dealt with injuries and an incosistent season. Onto the Browns, we discuss which quarterback will start with Deshaun Watson likely suspended. 2018 No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield seems to have played his last game for the team. We also look at Myles Garrett and Amari Cooper's impact after a trade from the Dallas Cowboys. Alex gives The Big D a fun NFC North question over long-time Steeler wide receiver Hines Ward. In conclusion, We agree the Bengals are the favorites to win the AFC North in 2022....more37minPlay
June 15, 2022NFC North Breakdown with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I start our davisional breakdown with the NFC North. The Green Bay Packers dominated their way to another division last season. The Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions followed GB in 2021. We start with Green Bat. While the Pack traded, Davante Adams to Las Vegas, we both like GB's defense and Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones. Alex likes Jones with his late bye in Guillotine leagues. We also answer whether the Packers will miss Adams. Alex believes GB will be OK with Rodgers under center. I believe GB's receiving core will miss not having a true No. 1 like Adams. Sammy Watkins, Allez Lazard and 2022 rookie Christian Watson will not make enough plays. Onto the Vikings, we are both excited to see Minnesota's offense with Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson, and Adam Thielen. I explain how this NFL is about putting up points, and the Vikings posseess an ability to score. Alex is worried about Minnesota staying healthy with Cook dealing with injuries. I am worried about Minnesota's defense and whether new head coach Kevin O'Connell can win as a rookie head coach in the NFL. Minnesota lost several one-possession games. The Chicago Bears are next in our breakdown. We both like Justin Fields as a potential dual-threat quarterback. I believe David Montgomery and Darnell Mooney are good offensive players. Alex believes the Bears do not possess talent and may only win 4-5 games. We also talk about Chicago's rebuild despite drafting Fields in the 2021 draft. The Detroit Lions end our NFC North teams. I really like Detroit's young core of D'Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown, D.J. Chark, Jameson Williams, T.J. Hockenson, Penei Sewell, and 2022 No. 2 pick Aidan Hutchinson. We question whether Jared Goff will be in Detroit beyond 2022 with Ohio State's C.J. Stroud and Alabama's Bryce Young likely top picks in next year's draft. We stump each other with some NFC North trivia. Then, we give our divisional winners, which will lead to a spicy disagreeement between us. Alex likes GB while The Big D likes Minnesota to win....more39minPlay
June 13, 20222022 U.S. Open Preview with NagelsBagelsIn this episode, Nagels Bagels and I preview the 2022 U.S. Open at the Country Club. We start by looking at The Country club, which will play host to the 122nd U.S. Open. While length has been a major factor at several majors, this year's U.S. Open will not be entirely defined by power. we both believe accuracy will matter in keeping the ball on the narrow fairways and small greens. While length is not necessary, the biggest hitters will have an advantage on their approach shots. We also look at good course comparisons. Nagels references Pebble Beach with its small greens. I like Merion and The Olympic Club as similar courses for The Country Club. We announce our favorite bets for the U.S. Open. Nagels likes Jordan Spieth, Brooks Kopeka, and Hideki Matsuyama. I like Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Sungjae Im, and Bryson DeChambeau. Before announcing our picks, we give our favorites for who will be the chalky DraftKings play at Brookline. Nagel believes Justin Rose offers good value after his final-round 60 in Canada at $7,100. He also won his major at Merion, which is somewhat similar to this course setup. I believe DFS players will use Matthew Fitzpatrick at $8,500. We then give our winning picks. Nagel likes Jordan Spieth while I believe Rory will carry his win from Canada to capture his second U.S. Open. ...more37minPlay
June 11, 2022LIV Tour & US Open Preview with Tom JacobsIn this episode, golf betting expert Tom Jacobs and I discuss the LIV tour and preview the 121st US Open at The Country club in Brookline, Massachusetts. First, we discuss the LIV Tour, which is a rival golf league led by Greg Norman and loads of money from Saudi Arabia. Several big golfers including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Lee Westwood, and Charl Schwartzel are playing the first LIV event in London. Other big names rumored or committing to play future LIV Tour events include Patrick Reed and Bryson Bryson DeChambeau. Fifteen-time major winner Tiger Woods declined an invitation to join the LIV Tour. We finally shed ourselves away from the LIV Tour and move to Brookline. While this course has not hosted a major since the 1988 US Open, The Country Club hosted the 1999 Ryder Cup and 2013 US Amateur. While courses have become longer, we believe this course will reward accuracy over length. Without some of the length of other Open setups, the golfers will be tested with narrow fairways and small greens. Driving distance will still be important, but accuracy should play a bigger role. Merion and The Olympic Club are two similar layouts that both hosted The US Open in 2012-13. While this course has not hosted a major, some golfers, most notably, Matthew Fitzpatrick, played the 2013 US Amateur here. Tom explain's how Fitz's game and couse familarity will make him popular for bettors and DFS players. I explain how this Gil Hanse design will change the course from 2013. Scottie Scheffler also missed the cut after Big 12 Championship experience at Southern Hills. Tom then explains how Victor Hovland contended in the 2019 US Open after winning the 2018 US Open at Pebble Beach. Onto betting, I start off my favorite bets with Fitz and Collin Morikawa at 28-1. Jordan Spieth and Will Zalatoris at 35-1 intrigue me. I also like Sungjae Im at 50-1 and Bryson at 80-1. Tom likes Daniel Berger Tommy Fleetwood, at Brookline. I remember Tommy'f Final Round 63, which left him one shot behind Brooks Kopeka. Tom is also intrigued by Billy Horschel, who won the Memorial Tournament last week. He also finished in the top-five at Merion - a similar course to Brookline. I test Tom's US Open golf knowledge with a question from the 1988 US Open at Brookline. Despite not playing this year's US Open, Tiger Woods became a billionaire and hopes to play the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews in July. Tom is amazed by Tiger's major domination in how many strokes Tiger won some of his majors in his prime. To end, we both hand out our winning picks. Tom likes Tommy Fleetwood while The Big D likes Rory to win at Brookline....more45minPlay
June 08, 2022NFL Questions with Alex BleuelIn this episode, Alex Bleuel and I ask each other NFL questions about our favorite and important topics. First, we ask which team improved the most since last year. Alex likes the Cincinnati Bengals getting Joe Burrow a better offenisve line. I like the Denver Broncos getting Russell Wilson and Randy Gregory on a team with talented receivers and secondary. We then look at two teams that lost endured the worst off-seasons. I pick the New England Patriots, which lost J.C. Jackson. NE also reached for Cole Strange and Tyquan Thornton in April's NFL Draft. Alex picks Seattle, which traded Russ to Denver. Then, we look at which players coming back from injury will have the biggest impact. Alex picks Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins, who missed the entire season after suffering a torn Achilles. I pick Rams running back Cam Akers, who came back from his ruptured Achilles and helped the Rams win the Super Bowl. Then, we look at coaches under the most pressure to win. Frank Reich is Big D's choice. Alex believes Ron Rivera is under pressure to win in 2022. Finally, we pick our favorite PPR running back. I like Detroit's D'Andre Swift. Alex believes Aaron Jones will be a great PPR back in 2022. ...more36minPlay
June 07, 2022UFC 275 Preview with Billy WardIn this episode, UFC DFS/betting expert Billy Ward and I preview UFC 275, which is taking place in Singapore.First, we look at the UFC Light Heavyweight Title fight between Glover Teixeira and Jiří Procházka. Teixeira won the belt by choking out Jan Błachowicz last October. At 42, the Brazilian became the oldest first-time UFC champion. He offers plenty of ground-and-pound with submissions. Meanwhile, Jiri enters enters his third UFC fight as one of the division's most promising stars. With 25 knockouts in his 28 wins, the Czech star offers of knockout power. Despite his lack of UFC experience, Jiri enters this fight as a -200 favorite. While Teixeira enters as the champ, we both like Jiri to win this fights. Billy believes Jiri offers too much power and will knockout the champ. He also wonders if Teixeira has endured too much punishment at this stage of his MMA career. We switch our attention from this fight to a highly anticipated rematch between Weili Zhang and Joanna Jędrzejczyk. Two years ago, Zhang won a classic between these strawweight fighters via split decision. We both offer different explanations for what will happen on Saturday night. I believe someone will be knockout out. Billy believes both women are tough, and this fight will go the distance. Unlike the first fight, this fight will only be three rounds. While Joanna has not fought recently, Zhang has been in the Octagon twice since 2020. Billy also is a little hesitant about using either fighter in a three-round fight and could fade this fight for DFS. The third fight on our card is the UFC Women's Flyweight Championship between Valentina Shevchenko and Taila Santos. Valentina has won her last eight fights since Amanda Nunes beat her in 2017. Santos is coming into this fight with a 19-1 record. While Valentina enters this fight as a monster favorite, we will consider Santos for our cash lineups. If Santos could get 40-50 points, that score could make DFS players winners. Billy is seriously thinking about using both fighters in his cash lineup. This week is the beginning of an important stretch for Billy. He is competing in the first round of the DraftKings $500K Fantasy MMA World Championship. Here, 70 qualifiers start a three-round process to crowning the best MMA DFS player in the world. The top-30 finishers will advance to the next round at UFC 276. The top-10 finishers at next month's NFC PPV event will be flown to Dallas for UFC 277. The winner of that event gets $100,000 and a ticket to the DK Tournament of Champions. We end this episode by talking about optimizers. With Billy working for Fantasy Labs, he explains the FL optimizer and how most DFS players use optimizers in all DFS sports....more31minPlay
May 24, 20222022 Champions League Final Preview with Charlie Mullanin this episode, UK football betting expert Charlie Mullan and I preview Saturday's Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Liverpool in Paris. This game will feature two of Europe's most successful clubs. Real Madrid has won 13 European cups; seven have come in the Champions League era. The Los Blancos have not lost a UCL final since Liverpool beat Madrid for the 1981 final in Paris. Real Madrid also won La Liga - giving them a domestic-European double in 2022. Liverpool has won six European titles. The Red won four from 1977-1984. Liverpool added 2005 and 2019 during the Champions League era. Earlier this year, Liverpool won the Carbaro Cup and FA Cup before falling one point of a possible quadruple. Liverpool and Real Madrid met twice in European finals. The Reds won the 1981 final in Paris. Charlie remembers watching the final, which was a rare site in the UK. Alan Kennedy scored the only goal of this game. This game was in an era where English teams ruled Europe for six straight years. Madrid got revenge over Liverpool 37 years later in Kiev. Mohamed Salah left this game after sustaining a shoulder injury. Gareth Bale's brace off the bench help the Los Blancos win their their straight UCL Final. We look at two amazing talents. First, Madrid's Karim Benzema has scored 42 goals, which 15 of those have been in the Champions League. The Frenchman also scored back-to-back hat tricks against PSG and Chelsea. Salah has scored 31 goals in another Golden Boot season for the Egyptian. Charlie brings up how Salah has not scored many goals for Liverpool in recent weeks. I respond with Salah's one Champions League goal in the knockout round against Inter Milan. With his lack of European goals, Salah could be due for revenge against the side, which sidelined him in the 2018 final. In every final, there is always an x-factor. I like Rodrygo's clutch goal for Real Madrid. Charlie likes Luka Modric's precision passing. For Liverpool, Charlie is worried that Virgil van Dijk's availability will be huge. He also looks for Sadio Mane to join Salah in attack. The Senegal striker also scored Liberpool's lone goal from the 2018 final against Madrid in Kiev. I believe Luiz Diaz's speed and creativity could pin Madrid's defense. The Colombian has made the Reds a different attack since his January move to England. Dylan gives Charlie some trivia involving Liverpool and Real Madrid former players. We both like Liverpool to win a game that should see plenty of goals. The last two Champions League finals both saw 1-0 games, and Saturday's final looks to showcase football's best attackers on one pitch. ...more31minPlay
May 23, 20222022 PGA Championship Recap with Tom JacobsIn this episode, English golf betting expert Tom Jacobs look back at a memorable PGA Championship, where Justin Thomas captured for the second time after defeating Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff at Southern Hills. First, heading into the week. we both picked Thomas to win the Wanamaker Trophy. We each give our reasons why JT was a great fit for the PGA after contending several times in 2022. Tom knew JT would win, and he only needed a good putting win. Despite the win, we both knew Thomas was fortunate with Mito Pereira hitting his drive at the 18th hole into the water. I thought Thomas's back-to-back 67's in windy looked more impressive than other golfer. After his birdie at the 12th, I knew Thomas could catch the leaders to win. JT overcame a seven-shot deficit, which was the largest 54-hole comeback since Paul Lawrie's 10-shot comeback at the 1999 Open Championship. Then, we look at Will Zaltoris' major consistency. In just eight major starts, Zalatoris has finished in the top-eight five times. Tom is worried about Zalatoris' consistency without winning. We both believe Zalatoris could follow Scottie Scheffler's path to winning soon. We also answer what happened with Pereira in his tee shot, which resulted in a double bogey and falling one shot out of the playoff. We both felt sorry for Mito, and it seemed like nobody wanted to win with so many players without a major. I explain how everyone has hit bad shots, and he can look back on an amazing week of positive golf. We then look at who disappointed us at Southern Hills. I immediately pick Rory Mcllroy. After his opening-round 65, Rory could not keep the strong play going after a strong shot. After four straight birdies, Rory did not make another birdie after the fifth hole despite great approaches. Tom looks back at Rory's second-round 71 when many golfers took advantage of calmer winds in the better side of the draw. Rory has also not won a major since the 2014 PGA Championship, and his inability to win a major concerns us....more31minPlay
May 19, 2022NFL Dynasty Rookie League with Kyle SenraIn this episode, Kyle Senra and I talk about the latest crop of rookie dynasty players from this year's draft class. First, we talk rookie running backs. Thge top two running backs, Iowa State's Breece Hall and Michigan State's Kenneth Walker, are two of the most popular rookies in drafts. Hall's rushing and PPR upside make him the likely top pick in rookie drafts. Kyle also loves's Hall's athleticism to make defenders miss on long touchdowns. Walker's lack of a PPR upside limits his ability to catch Hall for the top pick in rookie drafts. Bills rookie James Cook is in a very intruguing spot in 2022. With Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Dawson Knox, and Devin Singletary, he could have a touch time even as a PPR running back. Kyle likes Bucs running back Rachaad White's receiving upside. At quarterback, Pitt's Kenny Pickett was the only first-round pick in April's NFL Draft. Titans rookie quarterback Malik Willis offers plenty of upside, but Pickett's draft capital makes him the top rookie quarterback in drafts. We also believe Pickett has got a real chance to start the 2022 season as Pittsburgh's starting quarterback. With wide receivers, there seems to be two or three rookies separating themselves from the pack. Despite being the sixth receiver taken, Titans rookie Treylon Burks seems like the top rookie in drafts. With no A.J. Brown or Julio Jones in Nashville, Burks could be the top pass-catcher. Kyle believes Falcons rookie Drake London is in a similar role with no Calvin Ridley. While many people like Garrett Wilson, the Jets may not be in a great spot to give Wilson the same target workload. Kyle nas noticed a clear dropoff after the top-nine rookie receivers in drafts. To end this episode, we look at Kyle tradiing a first-round pick for Bears receiver Darnell Mooney. In this league, Kyle already owns Justin Fields - making a potential Bears stack. Kyle also adds that Mooney saves $2 million on the league's salary cap. ...more47minPlay
May 15, 20222022 PGA Championship Preview with Tom JacobsIn this episode, English golf betting expert Tom Jacobs and I preview the 2022 PGA Championship, which will be at Southern Hills in Tulsa. First, we look at how Southern Hills will play. I explain how golf designer Gil Hanse redesigned Southern Hills. The course is now over 7,500 yards. The only two par 5's are both over 630 yards. The new layout offers wider fairways, but the second shot will likely play a bigger role in this major. With small greens, Hanse's design offers little room with small greens. Tom believes wind could play a huge role with Oklahoma's windy weather. Several big names Will be looking to tame golf's second major of 2022. Masters champ Scottie Scheffler will be looking for his second straight major and fifth win in 2022. Tom regrets not betting Scheffler at Augusta. Jordan Spieth will be looking to complete his Grand Slam with a PGA Championship win. 2017 PGA Champion Justin Thomas will be looking for his second year. Former U.S. Open and Masters champ Dustin Johnson will be looking for his third major. Tom believes DJ over be over looked ehading into the PGA and fits this course really well. DJ's putting could determine his week. We look at guys looking at a potential breakout. Tom likes Victor Hovland, Shane Lowry, and Max Homa. I cannot believe Justin Thomas hasn't won since the 2021 Players Championship. Cameron Young, with three top-five finishes in year, is intriguing heading into a major. Then, we switch to our favorite bets. I love DJ at 22-1. Will Zalatoris is another of my favorite bets at 35-1, and a win is coming for one of golf's next stars. Tom likes 2011 PGA champ Keegan Bradley and Sergio Garcia at 70-1. Then, Tom gives The Big D some PGA Championship trivia from the last time Southern Hills hosted a major. For once I am stumped over some of the questions. I get my revenge over a Y.E. Yang question. This episode concludes with our predictions and favorite DFS long shots. We both like Justin Thomas to capture his second Wanamker Trophy at Southern Hills. Tom really explains his passion for Korea's Joo-Hyung Kim at $6,300 on DraftKings. ...more43minPlay
