The BIG PROBLEM With Book Of Enoch AND Other Fallen Angel Theories!

Cub Kuker Supernatural Podcast EP338

The Book of Enoch and similar texts that discuss the concept of fallen angels and their interactions with humans are part of various religious and mythological traditions.

According to the book of Enoch: “ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have begotten (children) with the blood of flesh”… versus like this, or not only in the book of Enoch, but as well as the old testament canon.
The BIG problem in my opinion with these theories, such as the “Watchers” in the Book of Enoch fathering literal “giants” on the earth, is that they are based on ancient mythological narratives and often times an attempt is made to reconcile these texts with spirituality or metaphysics when in reality, they are two different types of texts.
1. Similarity to other mythologies: when reading through the book of Enoch, as well as the old testament, we can reference back to the time of the Sumarian, Babylonian, and Acadian, mythologies to see where the roots of these stories come from. Once we discover the origin of these stories within the larger catalog of Mesopotamian mythology, it is important to recognize the adoption of these tails into different cultural points of view, which there is no issue with, unless we are attempting to view them as the “unerring word of God” or some infallible story to build our moral code upon.
2. Theological interpretation: These texts are often interpreted in a theological context, and different religious traditions have varying interpretations of these narratives. Many religious scholars and theologians view them as symbolic or allegorical rather than historical or scientific accounts. However, with my work, you may know, I personally prefer to read ancient mythology as well as the old testament through the filter of ancient astronaut theory.
3. Contradictory accounts: Different religious and mythological traditions have their own versions of fallen angel stories, and these accounts can vary significantly. This inconsistency raises questions about the reliability and accuracy of such narratives. It is much easier for me personally to view these through the ancient astronaut theory and try and understand how they might potentially be accounts of what archaic peoples actually thought they saw or what they were trying to interpret through stories.
4. The nature of angels: In many religious traditions, angels are considered to be spiritual beings, not physical entities. Angels are often depicted as messengers of God who do not have physical bodies. If angels are purely spiritual beings, the idea of them procreating with humans is challenging to reconcile with their spiritual nature.
5. Extraterrestrial or physical beings: Some proponents of the extraterrestrial hypothesis argue that these ancient accounts of fallen angels or Watchers might describe encounters with advanced beings from other worlds.
