Agri Drain Corporation Vice President Lisa Newby talks more on water management products they offer to make it easy to manage your drainage system. We also talk with the Blake Ballard here on a Wyffels Wednesday with comments on harvest and some delays from weather, plus testing for stalk quality and scheduling harvest.

David caught up with Lisa Behnke from the World Dairy Expo as livestock begins arriving to Madison this week and then Expo gets going next week. The Director of the Kent Feed Mill & Grain Science Complex tells us about the operations of the facility and the classes they teach there. US Commodities' Don Roose discusses the falling livestock markets and his grain targets at the end of the show.

Tuesday's First Hour: Brandon Hulme from Champion Seed joins us to talk about doing the push test for stalk rot and tells us what early returns are showing for corn and soybean yield. Don Roose from US Commodities is today's market analyst, and he says that the markets are waiting to see what yields turn out to be and he is looking ahead to potential harvest-low prices. Ending the hour, we catch up with Iowa Senator Joni Ernst on the possibility of a government shutdown and how it would impact putting together a Farm Bill.

Producer Curt Behrends from Cass County, Iowa tells us what he's seeing come out of his soybean field and about the timely rainfall he saw mid-summer to get the crop to the finish line. State Entomologist Robin Pruisner discusses invasive plant diseases and pests that they have been researching and preparing to fend off. Paragon Investments' Jamey Kohake ends today's show with a market update with grains now slightly higher getting closer to the close.

We check up on East-Central Iowa with field agronomist Rebecca Vittetoe today from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach with a look at how much rain they got over the weekend, how much more moisture they need over the off-season, and progress of harvest in that area of Iowa. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments is today's market analyst as we look ahead to today's harvest progress report with grains mostly weaker. Tim Meyer with the Steffes Group ends the hour with our weekly update on land and equipment values, plus an update on their upcoming schedule.
