David talks with Roger Clayburg from Beck's as they feed the Langgaard Family in Guthrie Center!

Tuesday's Second Hour: Kicking off the hour, we talk with Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird about their new lawsuit against the state of Massachusetts regarding "Question 3" limiting distribution of certain pork products through their state. Harvest Hosts COO Wes Clark tells us about their company created to connect RV travelers to local businesses in exchange for free places to stay across the country. Don Roose from US Commodities closes the program today with an update on the markets.

Tuesday's First Hour: David has a special report for us today with Mike Steenhoek from the Soy Transportation Coalition updating us on river levels in the Mississippi because of the drought and how it is impacting river shipping. US Commodities' Don Roose breaks down today's market trade with soybeans higher but corn and wheat lower. To end the hour, David catches up with DeKalb/Asgrow Agronomist Andrew Penny looking at harvest activity progressing across Iowa and the prevalence of saprophytic fungi in fields in the state.

Monday's Second Hour: Joe Schuele from the US Meat Export Federation discusses trends in the export market after the recent hogs and pigs report. He also discusses the beef sector as well. Iowa State University has an Ag Career Day coming up tomorrow and the CALS Career Services Director Mike Gaul tells us what's coming up at the event to get students in front of ag employers. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments ends today's show with an update on markets as we approach the close.

Clarabell Probasco from Iowa State University Extension in Southern Iowa talks about the effect of dryness across Iowa including the increased risk of fire on the farm. She also gives an estimate to what she thinks harvest progress will look like in tomorrow's report. Jamey Kohake from Paragon Investments dives into the commodity markets, explaining the effects of the Israel situation and how it's brought markets down after being in the green overnight.

The World Dairy Expo is winding down and we're joined by communications manager Lisa Behnke with a wrap up of the week's events as they prepare to crown the supreme champions. Paul Scott from the Agricultural Research Service in Ames joins David for a discussion about their research into the addition of amino acids into corn hybrids used for livestock feed. Amanda Brill from Total Farm Marketing wraps up the week for markets.

Bob caught up with Dragotec President Denny Bollig about their corn heads and their ROI Calculator to show producers the Drago advantage. Bryan Doherty from Total Farm Marketing is along to analyze the market activity today as we struggle to string together positive days. To end the hour David Geiger has a report on the falling productivity growth of agriculture in the United States.

The REALTORS Land Institute Iowa Chapter released its September 2023 Land Trends and Values Survey showing a slight decline in vales statewide over the past 6 months.
