March Madness is here and it brought with it some serious gender bias.  Daryl and Trevor talk about the poor showing by the NCAA who failed to provide for 60+ NCAA women's basketball teams.  As well, as the Oilers & Leafs battle for the title of 'King of the North' Daryl and Trevor talk about who has the competitive advantage.  In the wake of baby Madden Rose being born, Daryl and Trevor share their lived experiences and emotions as husband's through labour and delivery, and what methodologies went in to naming our babies.  

Congratulations to Trevor, his wife, and family on the birth of their second baby girl!

Welcome to Episode 16 of Last Minute GM with Daryl and guest-host, Trevor.

On this episode, Trevor talks about his close friend, Kurtis Freter, who suffered an aortic aneurysm this past week.  The good news is, Kurtis is going to be OK and is on the mend.  Trevor and Daryl share some frustrations in 'Leave it on the floor' and after the NHL hit their mid-season mark, they also talk about their best moments of the 2021 NHL season thus far.  With the NHL trade deadline a month away,  there are possible trades for the Oilers but, is RNH one of them if he doesn't sign an extension before then??  The XFL and CFL have talked, but that's it right?  Daryl and Trevor jump in to explore what a possible partnership could be.  

A BIG thank you to Trevor for filling in these past few weeks.  It has been an absolute pleasure having you on and we wish you and the family all the best this week with your baby due.

Have you ever wondered what it would take to become a fire fighter?  Today, Daryl sits down with his friend Randall Dyck, a 12 year veteran of the Regina Fire Department and asks him all about the decision he made to pursue fire fighting, what sacrifices he and his family made, and what it took to earn his place.  Randall did everything to pursue his goal, including selling the kitchen sink and has no regrets in doing so.  His story is inspiring, speaks to the love and strength of his family, and a great example that, it's never too late to go after your dream.

Daryl and Trevor rumble about NFT (non-fungible tokens), digital art, and where technology will take us.  The boys also discuss whether not trading Kyle Lowry would be bad for Masai, whether there are bands in the world anymore, and advocating for dodge ball as an Olympic Sports.
