The Bipolar Diaries

In this episode I discuss my sixth blog post on Bipolar and Boyfriends. I happened to have a boyfriend at each major part of my life in regards to Bipolar - through pre-diagnosis, during diagnosis and post diagnosis. It’s interesting to see how I handled myself in each relationship and my mental health during each one. They all taught me something different that I’ll carry with me forever.

In this episode, I talk about the criticism I have received over the years in regards to my weight and body image. I touch on the resilience we have as children to take on harsh critics, and how it can have a far greater impact on us later in life.

This weeks episode dives deeper into my second blog post ‘To medicate or not to medicate’. It’s a question we all ask ourselves when diagnosed with a mental health issue and is constantly seen as a ‘weak’ option. My goal is to change the stigma that comes with taking medication and to give people a deeper understanding of what it really entails (from my POV).
