The Black Tower Podcast: A Wheel of Time Podcast

Swords and bows and knives oh my! Are you really into weaponry, both real and fantasy? Do medieval weapons really get you going? Maybe you like those special weapons more than just the normal ones you go and buy from the local blacksmith. Well, then this is the episode for you. SPOILER FREE after the end of The Shadow Rising (so if you've read the first four books you're good!). Daniel and Andrew get together, while Josh is stuck in class still, and start talking about the bows, knives, daggers, axes, spears, etc. that we see within Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time. It's a pretty general overview of the weapons, but there is some talk of Sword Forms and concepts as well, plus a fun little engagement challenge for our lovely listeners at the end! So come on in, take a seat, grab a nice stiff glass of taint, and enjoy the musings of your favorite Asha'man.

Today we revisit Daes Dae'mar or The Game of Houses. Stand back Thronies, this was around far before your favorite series with the horrible tv ending. It's a fun episode, largely spoiler free after The Great Hunt so it can be enjoyed by almost anyone. Either way, we hope you enjoy this episode and keep coming back for more maddening content.

It's finally here, months later than originally planned but no less tainty for it's age. If anything, the delay has increased the umami of the taint to gourmet levels. A book that Andrew still hasn't read, but Daniel and Josh have. Come along as the Black Tower Podcast does it's final book review in the epic and amazing Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Grab yourself a nice tall glass of madness, sit down by the flame you see only in your mind, and enjoy.

Ladies and gentlemen, there has been a crime committed in the Wheel of Time fandom. A crime that we, as Asha'man, cannot let pass by unaddressed. The character of Min has been attacked...slandered...and we cannot have this. Now, whether you agree or disagree the topic is always fun to discuss. Maybe take a bit of time while you're relaxing in quarantine, or perhaps hard at work at your skeleton crew office, and take a listen at what we have to say. Then, let us know what you think! As always the only thing we ask is this.....Asha'man...ENJOY!

This week, Andrew, Daniel, and Josh finish up part four in our, far too long running, deep dive into Elayne, and all that she brought to the table in The Wheel of Time. We talk through a bit of the last battle, Andor's supremacy as the culture we know the most about, and last thoughts to wrap this all up in a nice little bow. Elayne would truly be proud of us!

And, while this segment may be finished, we have many more to come, and are always talking about fun things on our Discord! Come and join us for fun, foodstuffs, streaming, deep questions, shitposts, and everything in between. Whether you love what we do (https://discord.gg/EE4PYh) wanna get into the #twitteroftime community (@Towerpodcast) or just want to give us general feedback ([email protected]) we would love to see you! Honestly, you are all wonderful, and we really appreciate every single person who has joined us for this crazy journey.

If you'd like to be extra generous, and we know that is not something everyone can do in these times, join us for the extra fun over at our patreon where you can get extra "prerecording" episodes where we do things like, consider The Wheel's deepest questions, pour ourselves drinks for your ASMR pleasure, and debate the finer points of the MCU. Also, consider picking up some swag from our shop over on Spreadshirt (https://shop.spreadshirt.com/black-tower-podcast/) we know they could use the business, we could use the ego boost, and you could use one of the many different things they sell! We have a number of different designs, including chibi Asha'man, and more will be coming.

Well, that's the news from Randland where all the women are strong, the men are good looking, and the children are above average.

This week, Andrew, Daniel, and Josh throw it waaaaaaaaay back to the origins of the Black Tower Podcast, and podcasts in general, for all of us. Join us for fun with pizza, 2G33ks1Mic, and Birgitte in daisy dukes? It's a longer episode, but it checks out.

And, as always, come and join us!

Again, everyone, thank you so much, and stay classy, San Diego!

The Boys are back on the mic, talking about some of our favorite things!

What started out as an another episode on one of our favorite characters, Elayne Trakand, got off-track somewhere in the first 30 minutes and talks about bonding, oosquai, and "veins of gold." (Giggity) Come join us for what was one of our more fun episodes to record! Daniel and Josh sit down and discuss more in our "character delve" series and have a ball, with Andrew there in spirit. You don't want to miss this one!

In this amazing episode, we were honored and privileged to have some guests from the Fantology Podcast with us. Jake and Stephen were able to carve out some time to chat with us about what got us all into fantasy, and what kept us around. Spoilerific as usual, this episode has that amazing relax and chat feel, along with the humor you're all used to.

Go give Fantology a follow on their Twitter and listen to their content on their website!
