The Black Tower Podcast: A Wheel of Time Podcast

Good 'morrow ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to a very special episode of "The Black Tower Podcast!" As longtime listeners of 'the cast' will know, we are hitting our One Year Anniversary today! Literally, one year ago today the Black Tower Podcast launched its first episode with Andrew and Aaron. Now, a year later, we have achieved more than we thought possible. The podcast has 3 regular hosts, has brought about the inception of a second podcast (The One Power Podcast,) had an impressive array of Wheel of Time community guests and content creators, and delved into great topics all across Randland. We are so humbled by the opportunities that have arisen through this little podcast, are so proud of what we've been able to accomplish, and are so grateful for the reception the community has given us.

On this episode, you may notice that Josh is suspiciously missing. We do address the fact in the episode, but just to let everyone know, he is on an epic vacation with his family for his anniversary and will likely be missing for a couple of episodes. Anyone who only listens to us for Josh's lovely voice should skip the next few. We'll let you know when he's back!

We also have a challenge going on for Twitter. It would be amazing to see more of the community joining in the "Taste the Taint" challenge!

As always, if you liked what you heard, or thought we could have done better, let us know on any of our many platforms! We can be reached on Twitter at @TowerPodcast, via email at [email protected], and via our Discord at https://discord.gg/j9bfgnu. We're always happy to invite more to join us and, if you're feeling really fun, we'd love to have you join us on our Minecraft server, as well, at BTPMineCraft.myserver.gs

And, if you really like what we're doing, keep an eye out on our Patreon for changes being made, shortly. We are incredibly grateful to those who have supported us from the beginning, and we look forward to any who are interested in doing so in the future!

Thank you all. To another year!

Come and join us as we finish talking about Rand's vision in Rhuidean. In this episode we cover from the fifth through ninth visions. Spoiler free past Fires of Heaven's prologue (with a few spoilers beyond that but there are warnings for those) we hope you enjoy this extra long episode.

You can always reach us on our Twitter at @TowerPodcast, our email at [email protected], or our Youtube channel, which is easily found with a search for "Black Tower Podcast."

If you'd like to come join the fun with our Discord, please hop in at  https://discord.gg/j9bfgnu, or ask to be invited on one of the other mediums and, if you're feeling really fun, join us on our Minecraft server BTPMineCraft.myserver.gs.

And, last, if you like what we are doing, and want a little extra, please consider joining our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Blacktowerpod as it helps us provide more "quality" content and would allow us to do some fun merch.

Thank you, everyone, and have a great rest of your week!

It's that time of the month, again, y'all! No, not that time of the month... Book review time! As it is the first Friday of the month, we delve into Crossroads of Twilight, the tenth book in the Wheel of Time series. We also talk about this month's "Wheel of Time Wednesday" and some major differences between saidin and saidar. Come have a listen, if you're caught up!

Also, we mention in this week's episode some incorrect facts we spoke of last week that were pointed out by a listener. If you ever know we are getting something wrong, or feel like we could be doing better, let us know! You can always reach us on our Twitter at @TowerPodcast, our email at [email protected], or our Youtube channel, which is easily found with a search for "Black Tower Podcast."

Thank you, everyone, and have a great rest of your week!

This week, Andrew, Daniel, and Josh sit down to talk about Rhuidean, the Aiel, and Aviendha's bags? Coming at you, straight from the Black Tower grounds, we break down the first four of the nine visions that Rand Al'Thor sees on his trip to Rhuidean. And, for all of those thinking, "That's a strange number to do," don't you worry your pretty little heads, cause there is a Part 2 coming at you later on!

As always, we love to hear from all of you through our Discord channel - https://discord.gg/j9bfgnu

Our email - [email protected]

Or our Twitter - @TowerPodcast

And, if you like what you hear, please consider helping us put more of it out, in the forms of content and merch, by joining our Patreon at  https://www.patreon.com/Blacktowerpod. There you will find some extra sauce (our pre-show ramblings) which, this week, include vocab lessons, the difference between "equality" and "equity," and, as always, Andrew being creepy about our favorite Aiel Waifu.

Thanks, and have a pleasant week!

Daniel, Andrew, and Josh get together and finish out discussion of the Shadowspawn. Funfact, this episode's working title was "Shadowspawneronis" as Daniel will make sure you know. This time we talk about the Gholam, Darkhounds, Zomara, Gray Men, and Draghkar. This one is super funny for sure!

As always, we love your feedback, and we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to talk to us anytime on our Discord - https://discord.gg/j9bfgnu

Or through our email - [email protected]

And, if you like what you hear, we would thoroughly appreciate a follow on Twitter - @Towerpodcast and, if you really like what we do, please consider supporting us on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/Blacktowerpod. We are looking into getting some of our favorite sayings, musings, imaginative ramblings, and clever ideas on some tangible objects and some support can help us keep doing what we're doing, and then some. And, not to bribe you, but we do have some pre-show content, that can get pretty darn funny, available for our Patreon supporters.

Thank you, so much, for listening to us, and we will see you again next week!

The guys get together and begin a discussion on the Shadowspawn/Shadowwrought in general. This first part manages to cover the Trollocs, Myrddraal (again but not as in depth this time), Jumara, Cafar, and Forgers. That's a good five out of the ten general types of Shadowspawn right? Right. Next week we will cover the rest of the Dark One's own creatures, or the children of Aginor if you prefer. Huge shoutout to Boydok on our Discord for the episode title idea, as well as to Kate Reading and Michael Kramer for the recorded spoiler warning from way back!

Josh couldn't make this one, but your bois, Andrew and Daniel, are still here to talk about the spiciest of spices from Book 9, Winter's Heart.

Late due to technical difficulties and a crazy weekend, however Andrew is back from feeling ill. We also have David (Demonichawk on Discord) as a guest on this episode. Josh tries to stick around but the internet has other plans. Still, we persevere and manage to discuss the most recent casting new for the upcoming television series!

Hey Everyone!

Unfortunately, Andrew was feeling under the weather this week, so he was unable to join us, but Josh and Daniel sit down and discuss more Wheel of Time than you can fit in a box!

This week brings the special surprise that all of you were promised on our last episode, the conclusion of the "Great Captains" series. Now, some of you may be wondering, "Black Tower, there are only 5 Great Captains, who could possibly be the 6th?" And to that we say, you'll need to listen to find out.

The episode features us staying, more or less, on track, as well as some shoutouts, a good number of jokes, and two guys just having a good time talking about something they like. So, pop in, and see what all the fuss is about.

Josh, Andrew, and Daniel take some time to cut up and just have a grand ole time while discussing the final Wheel of Time Great Captain, Rodel Ituralde. This one is definitely NSFW at many points, but that just means that it is saturated with the sort of humor and jokes you've come to know and love.
