The Blacksmith's Furnace

It's the Rock and the Rockstar representing in this episode as Mo has earned himself some good time off.

As has become tradition, when there's only two thirds of the furnace present Both Peter and Robert took turns in the hot seat.

We then went on to talk about the bible and what or who we would have to add to it if such things were possible... (We don't believe the bible needs adding to! Just playing around with the idea :D)

Peter had two hookups today, both podcasts, the first being a podcast that looks to present the need for God in today's society. Its called Vital signs, check it out here

https://www.rzim.org/listen/vital-signs

The second being a new podcast by the lovely Myriam Osei that gives an insight into personal stories of salvation. Check out her podcast here

Welcome to another episode of the Furnace.

In today's episode we talk about the art of disagreeing without being disagreeable and why that seems to be especially hard to achieve when it comes to matters of faith.

The topic wasn't too far off what we discussed in the Sorry Not Sorry section where Peter voluntarily took the hot seat and dealt with questions on Jesus's humanity and Christians current inability to display the divine as spectacularly as the early church did.

Ther was a musical trio of Hookups with Rob suggesting checking out Rick Ross' new album Port of Miami 2 https://open.spotify.com/album/1mgw5rbUS94uif2ce9QCf0?autoplay=true&v=L, Mo hooking up Andy Mineo's new realease of a bunch of songs that never quite fit in to any particular album of his over the years, It's called Work in Progress https://open.spotify.com/album/1ceb29zCX7Od6pT9BjCyKF and Peter reiterated his last hookup which was S.O. upcoming album Augustine's Legacy, Pre-add/save wherever you find good music https://iamsothekid.com/

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

The prodigal child returns, and with him, of course a slew of ridiculous scenarios and concepts.

Robert's return was not without it's fan fare and today's episode was indeed a rather grim one.

starting off with Robert right back in the Hot seat, sorry not sorry was a difficult one , then we move into Robert addressing a challenge he received regarding an episode he recorded, alone, a few months back, in which he emphatically claims he could not marry a saved and redeemed Pornstar!

Spoilers; He still stands by that statement!

It was all fun and games from there as we elaborate on what being redeemed should really mean and look like in christian society.

For our Hookups, Peter shares that he's started watching drum line battles for the appreciation of the hard work and dedication that goes into choreographing them

He also reiterated a hookup from last week from rapper S.O. His latest song White Jesus is an informative banger check that out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlePt0hiWaI

Mo also hooked up a song by Eshon Burgundy called Never Fold, check that out here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7rBhdTXFhY

and lastly Robert, in line with the topic today, suggested reading Francine Rivers book Redeeming Love which is a retelling of the story of Hosea

Give it a read here:

Given the more masculine two thirds of the furnace were in attendance today, we felt it appropriate to address the topic and have a conversation about what Toxic Masculinity really looks like , and maybe what the potential remedy to this "affliction" could be.

The discussion really was a continuation of the sorry not sorry segment this week, where both Mo and Peter took turns in the hot seat, and we definitely will be coming back to this to finish off our thoughts on how to get past this concept of toxic masculinity amongst men.

For our hookups Mo mentioned checking out a three part book by the OG C.S. Lewis collectively called the Cosmic trilogy

check it out here

And Peter shouted out S.O. latest single which drops on August 16th Called WHITE JESUS

Keep an eye on So the kid on Instagram to hear it when it drops.

Welcome to another episode of the furnace, this week Peter was joined by his lovely wife, Anita as they had a brief conversation about Christians and secular music.

Anita chose to take the hit seat and answered a very random question dealing with Adam and Eve's belly buttons and of course we had a few hookups for the people.

Peter suggested checking out a Christian rapper called NF who has an album out now called The Search, that debuted at number 1 on even secular charts.

And Anita mentioned a Christian singing competition on BET hosted by Kirk Franklin called Sunday Best

Definitely some great singing in there so check it out!

In this week's episode both Peter and Mo respond to Sorry Not Sorry questions from each other, given Rob couldn't make the recording.

We talk about future baby making technology and how much baptism contributes to one's being saved.

We also then move to possibly our most politically focused episode to date, discussing the recent emergence of Boris John as prime minister of the culture and what the possible ramifications of brexit could mean for the country.

In our hookups section Peter, in line with the topic of discussion, wanted to remind everyone to be mindful of the terms and conditions and app permissions they approve digitally especially with brexit

And Mo suggested using an app called my Fitness Pal to track calories and help you live a better life

The Furnace was complete once again and today discussed how worth is measured in different areas of life including in God's eyes.

Moses was in this hot seat this week answering questions around genetically modified embryos and whether they make it to heaven.

For hook ups, Peter recommended the conversation between Ben Shapiro and Ravi Zacharias - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIMwWtt_EVQ

Robert recommended the blog, the Hopes Ministry - https://www.hopesministry.co.uk/

Moses recommended the track California Dreamin by Lecrae and John Gives

This week the Beautiful Black Beast and the Rock-Hearted One discussed whether the benefits outweighed the costs of living health lifestyles when others can smoke and drink and live well into their 80s. They also discussed when they wanted to die and if all positions in society hold the same weight.

Robert was in the hot seat this week discussing how much technology can be added to a human body before it will no longer gain you access to heaven.

It's the cooler two thirds of the furnace this week, with Robert absent for reasons we'll let him explain later, and today we tackle the unpopular topic of the appropriation of christian symbols.

Most recently in the news, the rainbow was prominent as a sign of gay pride during pride month and we discuss why society seems ready to acknowledge and respect the cultures and symbols and sometimes language of most people groups except Christian.

We also look at some of the achievements of the trump administration in America, most recently his being the first American president to step into North Korea and ask the question could our version of the most unlikely choice of leader be just the shock to the system that we need going in to the selection of a new prime minister here in London

On this week's episode the Beautiful Black Beast and the Man Lyk were joined by the wonderful Simi as they discussed whether all films deserve or even need a remake and which stories in the Bible need to be shown more love. Simi was in the hot seat this week, answering questions around whether Christians should see all sins as equal and what women should and shouldn't do in the life of the church.

For Hook Ups, Moses recommended his upcoming photography blog, Simi recommended all the current and upcoming sporting events and Robert recommended the Creative Cloud tutorial youtube page, Tutvid: https://www.youtube.com/user/tutvid
