The Blacksmith's Furnace

Our Beloved Brother Bobby A( Is it bad the Beloved is only there for the alliteration?) is absent today but the show must go on.

Luckily, we were blessed with the presence of the lovely Jemz of Writerznscribez.org which presented the perfect opportunity for a quick discussion of Valentines, romance, love and life as a young couple with a bouncing baby girl.

We also had the Grammys Awards and Chance the Rapper delivering a beautiful rendition of a popular Gospel during his performance, we talk about the state of his christian fandom and why we seem to jump on the bandwagon's of artists who don't claim to be christian artists anytime they mention anything even remotely Christian

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

We're big believers in the "win-win"

Take care and stay blessed.

Today's conversation started with another of Bobby A's pet peeves.

Swear word replacements,

As an individual that actually does this we talk about if there is any point when it's normally quite obvious what we really want to say.

We of course go off on a number of random tangents that we hope you find both entertaining and may insightful at the same time.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

Would Christian law , in it's entirely, suffice as the rule governing a secular country. Would it work in a solely Christian country?

The new president of the USA, Donald Trump has already put things in motion that make us wonder about these things, and that's what we talk about, among other things of course, today on the furnace.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

We're big believers in the "win-win"

For some unknown reason, making chicken soup makes Bobby A contemplate sperm donation and thus naturally that's what we open with in this episode of the furnace!

We move on to babies with three parents, genetically modified foods and end up, somehow, talking about make up!

Its your usual mix of specific randomness from the furnace and Jemz, all to the glory of God!

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

As promised last week, we're here talking about the #KimBurrell situation today on the Furnace.

Now for those that don't know Kim Burrell is a gospel singer and pastor and was recently supposed to feature on the #EllenDegeneres show with #Pharell. She was removed from the show when a video of her preaching against homosexuality in her church surfaced online. And since it's been a social media storm of people calling her hateful and homophobic.

Well we talk Kim and the Ellen show and our take on the church and homosexuality and as always we give our honest personal thoughts on the topic

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

We're big believers in the "win-win"

Here's one from the archives, Mo shared a question on how we share our faith, and the reason it's coming back here is for it to serve as a pre-cursor to next week's episode where we'll talk about the malarkey going on with Kim Burrell and the backlash she's received for, in the large part, quoting the Bible.

How do we share our faith and what we believe? How do we navigate offending others with our faith or challenging popular rhetoric with ideas that might seem archaic but are, according to the Bible, Truth!

It's a difficult one but we talk it out and we hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

We're big believers in the "win-win"

This game is quickly becoming a favourite of the furnace and though we've played it a couple of times on here, on both occasions it was in the absence of Mo.

Well this time Mo was in on the action and we have a fun and eventful game.

For those that don't know, the game is actually called After Dinner arguments and it's essentially a series of questions spanning a wide variety of topics and for each question each participant has 30 seconds to deliver a concise , clear and contextual response.

Let's just say things get very interesting, very quickly and we cover so many different topics I couldn't list them all here!!

Oh and we're recording in a car on our way to a collaborative venture that will be coming your way very soon...

...

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

Last week we had another successful session of Poetry Pizza and Polaroids #PoPiPo and while it was a fun time it ended on a somewhat awkward note when a clearly high "roadman" walked in, to take part.

It was an interesting situation with some of the ladies feeling a little threatened, some of the guys feeling a bit on edge and the entire group feeling just a bit tense.

But is this how things should be? Should we, as a group of Christians, feel uneasy around someone who wasn't clean cut, or well spoken.

From all indications in the Bible that's the exact type of person Christ would be found around.

So that's what we talked about in tonight's edition of the furnace.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.
