Ofcourse we brought this with a twist, today is, friend of the show, Jemilea, 'Jemz' Wisdom-Baako's birthday and in celebration of that we had a little dinner party on a little boat on a canal in West London.

And thus you join the party on the episode as we are joined by a whole host of friends and family and some usual voices as well, Yes Jolade makes an appearance.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

Tonight on the furnace we had the pleasure of the company of some of the lovely ladies over at 1walktogether blog .com, Angela Sekyere, Gina Aggrey, Sarah Fynn, AJ Taylor, all came to join us as we discussed some of the woes face by today's Christian Babes(Bobby A's words not mine)

We were also joined by the lovely Angela Kumah from Colourmefreedom.wordpress.com

The ladies brought a fresh perspective to topics like, why Jesus didn't come as a woman and what it really means for a man to be the head of the household as the Bible teaches.

Seemingly everyone on this episode blogs in some capacity so check their profiles out on the 1walktogether page(linked below) and show them some love.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

Last week Robert saw a tweet by Paula White, a famous church leader in america about how our words could stop God's plans.

Obviously on the furnace there is a plethora of varying views and in this episode we kinda go in on each other.

The great thing about the members of the furnace, if I do say so myself, is the elevation of the Bible as the ultimate authority on such things and so what starts out seemingly split ends up in a consensus. Spoiler alert!

We were graced with the presence of the lovely Angela Kumah of colourmefreedom.wordpress.com give them a visit and let them know we sent you.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

Public Service Announcement for all those who have been living under a rock.

The United Kingdom has voted to leave the EU.

The Prime minister has resigned just a year into his term in office.

The pound fell to it's lowest value in 31 years and the racist rhetoric is worming out of the woodwork bolder and legitimised by a vote which at the very least seems to indicate the worst about the Majority of Britain.

Joining us once more is Vincent Nimoh a welcome addition to the panel as we talk through what #Brexit means for Britain and for us.

With Father's day just past we had to have a conversation about Fathers.

From absent Fathers to TV replacements to guys and girls with daddy issues we talk about the role of the Father, what it means to have one present and / or absent and our thoughts either on being or becoming Fathers ourselves.

We even asked the question: should single mothers get Father's day gifts too?

Of course we wanted a ladies perspective on such issues and we were blessed to have the lovely Nancy Mills join us as we chopped it up.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

clap back

verb

To return a diss, particularly one related to a beef in the hip-hop world.

Bobby A is actually amazing at quite a few things, he's a great poet, he's a really kind guy, he's got heart and last time I took him to my karate club he showed he's tough too. One thing Bobby isn't so good at is keeping his tech in tip top condition,

I'd show you his phone as testament.

Given we've all got pretty decent cameras here on the Furnace, today, since morning, we've kinda been on his case about how he treats his camera, and it seems today's shenanigans were the straw that broke the camels back.

And thus in today's episode; the clap back of Bobby A! And a conversation about accountability and what it means for our community.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

An article published in the Independent in May 2014 presented the statistic that there are over 240 African churches in the borough of Southwark alone. This makes it the highest concentration of African Churches outside of Africa!!

Recorded in early January we looked at what the significance of having so many different churches in one area might be and this led us to talking about why there is such division in the body in the first place.

Of course we went off on a few tangents, one of which being whether or not there is a negative correlation between the quality of customer service and the taste of the food in Jamaican restaurants.

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

The Furnace agreed it was about time we brought Bobby A to the front of the congregation to have a word about his unapologetic understanding of just how amazing he is!

We had a great conversation about what it means to be great, how to react to people acknowledging your greatness, where the line lies between confidence in your greatness and arrogance about it.

We also talked about false humility which is one of those things we see in the body of Christ quite often and yet is also one of the those topics no one sees fit to talk about...

So we did!

We really hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably at the very least heard the name George Zimmerman.

If you haven't look it up, in 2013 he was acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin a young 17 year old black teenager.

His death eventually led to the #BlackLivesMatter movement which you still hear of today.

Well as of the 22nd of May 2016 the BBC reported that the gun used to kill Trayvon was sold at auction and was bought for $250000.

The $500 gun sold for $250000 and the only reason simply was because it was used to kill an unarmed teenager and the killer walked free...

At the furnace we turned our attention to what the real problem here could be, we look at what it means to be black, what society projects/expects of us, the struggles we faced and potentially what the solution could be, though that will be the topic of part 2.

We were lucky to have the lovely Jemilea Wisdom-Baako in attendance and our special "political correspondent" Vincent Nimoh (@Ananenimoh on twitter) bringing some much needed alternative insights to the conversation.

and the conversation is not done yet.

This is not a review! But don't worry there are no spoilers.

Possibly the best marvel movie to date just released and unless you've been living under a rock, not including all my peeps under the rock that is Jesus Christ, you've at the very least, heard about Captain America Civil War.

The conflict in the movie revolves around authority and #TeamCAP and #TeamIRONMAN 's contrasting ideas on who should hold it. After declaring which side we're on (The Furnace was split) we talk about authority in the lives of a christian and what it looks like to submit to authority other than God
