  • TBF 17 The God That Answereth By Fire And STD
You've heard "All's well that ends well"
Well from experience I can tell you "All's crazy that starts crazy" and today we started with a story about how God, allegedly, answered a desperate Bobby's prayer by giving some poor girl an STD...
Yeah it's pretty much downhill from there as we talk about Prayer, what forms it takes and it's role in the Christian's life.
We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

  • TBF 16 The Industry Dominating Christian
... You will be the head and not the tail...
That verse from Deuteronomy has been quoted so often to encourage Christians to expect and look forward to fame and fortune and dominance in everything they do. But is that really the case.
Bobby A brought in a quote which, in summary, said God wants you to dominate!
We talked about what it means to dominate and whether or not this truly is God's will for everyone and how that truly pans out.
As usual there are several tangents that we run off on but nothign too off topic.
We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.

  • TBF 15 Ewwww Please Don't Pray Here
This week's episode was intended to be the concluding part of last week's topic from the male perspective, things men wish women knew, unfortunately due to some technical problems and my (Peter here!) lack of ability as a sound engineer we can't bring you that episode.
    But it's still coming...
In its stead, however, we have an unaired episode we recorded last year in late November, cinema companies in the UK had refused to play an advert of normal people reciting the Lord's prayer and we weighed in on the uproar this sparked, going off on as many fun tangents as possible.
Major thanks to Jemilea Wisdom-Baako founder of writers and scribez and Simi Solesi of ThoseNaturalAfricanCurls.com who both showed up and contributed immensely to the recording of the originally intended episode it is such a shame we couldn't bring you that conversation.
We really hope that in spite of that, you do enjoy the episode and if you do please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing, and if you don't, please let us know in the comments and let your friends know by sharing.
We're still big believers in the "win-win"
    Take care and stay blessed.

A massive thanks goes out to everyone who sent in suggestions, for the sake of time we couldn't actually go through every single suggestion but your support and participation mean so much to us at The Furnace.

Spare the rod and spoil the child.
Growing up this was the first line of the parenting handbook, and from the look of things on twitter the next generation of parents are gearing up to make full use of the verse in their households.
But between stories of our own experiences and discussions as to whether or not it's still effective, in this episode of the podcast we look at the point of punishment in our lives, whether or not we benefited from corporal punishment and if we think it's something that should be re-introduced in western society.
