Be encouraged. More entrepreneurs struggle with some form of social awkwardness than you think.
In fact, I'd be more surprised if you were an entrepreneur that didn't have any unusual social tendencies.
The trick is self-compassion and surrounding yourself with other like-minded people. Here's how we do it.
Sun Tzu said if you know your enemy and know yourself, you need never fear the outcome of 100 battles.
First, there are no effing secrets. There's just wisdom and how willing you are to pursue it. Secondly, critical thinking is a lost skill in our world. We so desperately need it, but so few of us ever really develop the ability.
Critical thinking is not a talent. It is a skill that must be developed every single day. I'm going to show you how to start right now.
If you want to live fulfilled, happy, and successfully, you will need other people in your life to help guide you on your journey.
Myko and I share two very powerful stories about how friends/mentors spoke positive change into our lives.
We also thought we were being attacked by a random beast that ate what looked like a giant raccoon on the trail today. So enjoy the hilarity.
When will you have the same faith in yourself that God has in you? He gave you life to add value to others. Certainly, that's worth something awesome!
No matter where you are on your journey, you are far more capable, more powerful, and more valuable than you realize.
If you want to meet your requirements to earn more money, then you must pursue opportunities to serve others instead of chasing money.
We are governed by laws of physics in our world. One law demands that if we want to acquire something, we must first give something of equal or greater value.
Chasing money will cause it to flee from you. Chasing opportunities to serve others will inspire others to increase your access to needed resources.
Myko joins me today to talk about how we used knowledge of our weaknesses to get better at sales.
In Myko's case, she struggled with promising value that her bakery business could not support without burning herself out.
In my case, I've always struggled with selling what my client wants instead of what I know they need to solve their problem. Wants always trump needs.
Failure does not exist!
Today, I'm sharing two stories from my life where I experienced what many would consider great setbacks.
The first was in my physical health. Why was I hospitalized last year and what am I learning today as I get more and more healthy?
Why did I walk away from 25,000 subscribers on YouTube to go in a different direction? And how did I deal with realizing that those 25,000 people were not my desired audience?
During our morning prayer walk, Myko and I talked about how people with broke mindsets can distract you from your business mission if you let them.
This is especially true if you run a business that has your personal brand attached to it. Broke-minded people are defined as people who do not take ownership of their lives or their circumstances. They seek to judge and tear down people and institutions who don't see things their closed-minded way. They don't seek to understand or gain knowledge because it's easier to blame the world for their own lack of drive and vision.
These types of people are like cancer. Don't let them impact your business or your mission to make the world a better place.
There is no such thing as failure. There are only actions and results.
So why do so many of us fear failure constantly? It's because we don't understand that what we call failure is really just the results of not taking the right actions.
If we stop fearing these results and decide to analyze them, they will show us how to adjust our behaviors to get us to the successful results that we want.
Remember, we never demand perfection. We merely recommend that you get just a bit better today than you were yesterday.
