Sgt. Michael Taapken is a Marine who is spearheading the project that will bring the Wall That Heals to Butte for five days this August.

The Wall That Heals is a a 7-and-a-half feet high traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.  It will be five days of education, remembering and healing.

Renzy Kelly is one of the longest tenured high school freshman basketball coaches in the state, if not the country.

So, he has had the Jack Nicholson seats for every Butte Central varsity game for the past 20 seasons. That is where he specializes in funny comments to the officials, even if some of the referees don't find him to be so funny.

Kelly was also a three-sport standout at Butte Central and an outstanding receiver at Montana Tech.

Copper City Softball has the great sport of softball back on track in the Mining City. The cool thing about that is many of the women behind the league were champions on the diamond for Butte High and Butte Central.
