    Episode 165 - I'm Dreaming Of A Mogwai-ite Christmas
It's Christmas time again, and you know what that means. Holiday cheer, family gathered around to share good food and drink, snow falling, and christmas carolers at your door. At least that's how the holidays are supposed to be. We all know how it really goes though. You get to your parents house, your mother makes some passive-aggressive comment about how she is surprised to see you. She didn't know if you were coming because you never answer any of her phone calls. Eventually your uncle shows up, has too much to drink, and gets in a fight with your dad over something that nobody else cares about.
Well, in honor of the holidays, we did that exact same thing. The Buzzed Kill fellas got together, had too much to drink, and argued about something nobody else cares about. So grab yourself a Goose Island Christmas IPA, and get in the holiday spirit with a lively discussion about Gremlins 1 and 2. Cheers, and Merry Christmas!

Episode 164: Bad Brew: The Happening
Do you ever get the feeling that something around you is...happening? You may not know what, but you can taste it in the air, feel it in your bones, and feel it against your face as you plummet through the air off the top of a construction site. No wait, that last one was just the concrete.
This week we decided to take another look the 2008 M. Night Shyamalan flick The Happening, and see if it really deserves all the bad press its gotten since it release. Will we try and redeemit from its bad wrap, or will we find our selves asking the question..what the hell is actually happening?

Episode 163 - Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha Gonna Brew?
Well, it's finally here. The first episode with the training wheels off, and it went pretty much the way we expected it to. There was beer, there was liquor, there were power outages, and of course, there were actual police cruisers searching the city streets for some drunken idiots. We swear it wasn't us. Anyway, being that this was the episode of The Buzzed Kill Podcast which officially had the most police involvement, it is fitting that we happened to be discussing two films that took place inside of cop-shops. So grab some Caged Wisdom Brut IPA from Oddside Ales, and and join us for a night in the slammer.

Episode 162 - The End Is The Beginning, Man
Man, we finally get it. We finally understand what Boyz 2 Men was talking about in almost every single one of their songs. The pain of losing the one you truly love is devastating. After more than three years of Buzzed Kill bliss, J-Rog, the Sound Architect, and Producer/Engineer of our hearts, is with us for the final time. How do we say goodbye to what we used to have? Beer, we’re guessing, will play a major role in easing the hurt, but what will fill the massive hole that he is leaving in the show and our shattered hearts. Again.... probably mostly beer.
This week, from our new studio, in honor of our brother, we grabbed some This One Goes To 11 Imperial Red IPA from Bell’s Brewery, some Johnny Walker Black, and said farewell the only way we know how. With a discussion about a movie that was the cinematic equivalent of our feelings about J’s departure. Not good.
Join us for a drink and help us say Bye Bye, Man. Cheers.

  • EP 161 - Super Beeroes
    Episode 161 - Super Beeroes
If you could have one super power, what would it be? Most people have pretty typical answers. The power of flight, invisibility, and invincibility seem to top most people's list. Don't get us wrong. All three of those super powers seem like they would come in handy, and they would be a lot of fun, but we here at The Buzzed Kill Podcast all agree that the ability to control someone's thoughts would be the only super power for us. At this point, you probably have a pretty good idea of why we would like to control someone's thoughts, and you're probably absolutely right. It's so we could make our parents think that we aren't complete failures.
This week we grabbed some Stone Farking Wheaton wOOtstout, and discussed a couple Super scary Super "hero" flicks. Cheers!!

Episode 160 - From The Dreidel To The Grave
Hang on to your yarmulkes, folks. The goys of The Buzzed Kill Podcast are going Old Testament this week, with two tales of mishegas. One involving a harmless looking tchotchke that harbors an ancient evil, and the other involving a bunch of gentile schmendriks who mess with the wrong village, and end up in a whole world of tsuris.
So schlep your tuches over to your favorite chair, grab a He’Brew Messiah Brown Ale from Schmaltz Brewing, and listen to them schmooze about The Possession and Golem. Mazel Tov!!!

  • EP 158 - Fatal Attractions
    Episode 158 - Fatal Attractions
Everyone knows about the law of attraction. The belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into your life. Well, do you know the laws of ATTRACTIONS? As in, haunted attractions? It’s the belief that no matter how positive your thoughts are, the outcome is destined to be negative. You can have the biggest smile, the brightest attitude and the most positive outlook, but chances are, you aren’t going to leave that place without peeing yourself, hurting yourself, throwing up, or in some rare cases, dying. Coincidentally, these same laws apply to dating on Tinder.
So this week, in honor of everyone who scoffs in the face of danger, or just pants-peeing humiliation, we defied the law of attractions, strapped on our adult diapers, and walked straight into the gaping maw of terror with two films about haunted attractions. Cheers!

    Episode 157 - You Haven't Seen WHAAAT??
Admittedly, there are a lot of things that we have never done. We've never been skydiving. We've never slack lined across the Grand Canyon. We've never held a baby giraffe right after the moment of birth. Also, Mike has never known the soft touch of a woman.
Aside from all of that, there are also a lot of horror movies that we are ashamed to admit that we have never seen. So this week we grabbed some FLOAD Dark American Sour Ale from Short's Brewing Company, and took a first look at a couple classics. Cheers!!!

  • EP 156 - Home Sweet Hell
Episode 156 - Home Sweet Hell
Everyone knows that renovating a house can be hell. The demolition causes a huge mess, you either have to deal with unreliable contractors, or learn to do it yourself, and on top of all of that, there is the expense. Then, of course there are the obstacles that hardly anyone thinks of before committing to a project.... the ghosts. You know how it is. You’re halfway through the remod your master bath and suddenly every time you look in a mirror, some dead guy is standing behind you. That’s the part they always forget to tell you about on “This Old House”.
This week we grabbed some Building Blocks German Kellerbier from Mikkeller Brewing, and took a couple home renovation movies down to the studs to see if they are habitable or condemned. Cheers!
