Episode 214. This week we explore weirdly specific symbols of our states, which starts at Missouri's psychic dog and leads to Oklahoma's official insistence that a watermelon is a vegetable. We also discuss the longest house, million dollar grapes, and the results of Melissa ordering ten random Beanie Babies live on air last week. Finally, now that we've seen Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we look back on Phase 4 of the MCU. We share our favorite shows, movies, and post-credit scenes, themes that have resonated with us, and how we'll sincerely cherish the memories of trailer reactions and Comic-Con livestreams.

Kyle watched the supernatural K-drama Uncanny Counter, Melissa watched the documentary Beanie Mania about the rise and fall of Beanie Babies, and we ask whether we were "animal kids" growing up. We talk about Formula One and trying to get into sports to have something to fill our time when there isn't an exciting new movie coming out.

Episode 212. We have updates on Melissa's fantasy monster draft, and the mystery flavor of Mtn Dew Voodew for this year. We talk about movies that would be terrifying to witness as an unknowing bystander, what Winnie the Pooh could possibly bring to the table in a business partnership with the much more competent Paddington, if the sun baby is the true mastermind behind the Teletubbies, and how Casper still totally holds up. We also talk about some of our favorite movies of 2022, and what new releases from this year we still need to catch up on!

Episode 210. Melissa eats a very tall pie and visits a "haunted house" that's more like a confusing walk in the woods. Kyle goes to a pumpkin patch and an architecturally imposing soda shoppe, and promises to drink a new novelty soda every week until this six-pack is gone. We discuss Marvel casting rumors, hidden Netflix gems, and the progression of the show Killing Eve, and try to imagine what a "ninjageddon" means.

Episode 209. Kyle's house exists in a temporal pit where no Grubhub drivers can find it. Melissa spots a beloved local movie theater in the b-roll of a Disney+ documentary. We talk about the shifts to the Marvel movie schedule and try to understand the feverish daydream that is the movie Amsterdam. Finally, we challenge ourselves to name 50 monsters live on air, which mostly involves defining "monster."

Episode 208. Ah, the state fair. Caramel apples, stuffed alien toys, and trying to make small talk with the other people in your ferris wheel car about what if the car fell off and rolled away. Kyle is thrilled by the Korean crime drama Beyond Evil. Melissa is shocked by a bizarrely gruesome death in the movie Super 8. We start brainstorming Halloween costumes for on and off the podcast this year, and run through some Marvel news and speculation. Will Hugh Jackman sing and dance in Deadpool 3? How can we get Don Cheadle an Oscar? If we saw an alternate view of the events of Endgame, can we call that movie Middlegame?

Episode 207. We're trying a new game this week! Kyle and Melissa draft fast food restaurants, and then have to mutually agree on a Top 10 ranking. We discuss both nationwide chains and regional favorites, debate whether or not you need to see the food at Panda Express before you order it, name the best fries, and read all 44 possible milkshake flavors at Cookout.

Episode 205. We recap the announcements and trailers from D23 and update our bingo sheets on the MCU news we predicted would come out of this convention. Melissa also tells us about all the specific character variants you can meet in the Avengers Campus section of Disney's California Adventure, and the mysterious multiverse ride that could come to the park in the future. We have some updates from Sony's Marvel movies, and a sequel to the DC movie Constantine, 17 years later!
