The latest Disney+ project from Marvel Studios, Ms. Marvel, premiered June 8th, 2022, and its final episode of the season was released on July 13th. The story follows Kamala Khan, a high school Pakistani Muslim girl from Jersey City who discovers her own superpowers and herself along the way. Maria Akhtar is a medical student who is deeply invested in all the fandoms, a Film enthusiast, and television is her whole personality. She started TikToking because her friends and family were tired of hearing all of her over-analyzing, so just started content creating this year. She loves theorizing and breaking down all the tv she watches, especially sitcoms, and dissecting and comparing fandoms has become a passion project, and getting into the MCU tv series combines both topics that bring her joy! She shares how her life-long love of the Wall-Crawler led to an opportunity to write an original book series for middle-grade readers. Preeti Chhibber is a children’s author, speaker, and freelance writer. She has written for SYFY, BookRiot, Polygon, and Elle, among others. In 2022, she made her Marvel Comics debut in WOMEN OF MARVEL #1 with a brand-new Black Cat story. This year will also see the release of Spider-Man’s Social Dilemma, the first book in an original upper-middle grade Peter Parker trilogy from Marvel Press. You can find her co-hosting the podcasts Desi Geek Girls and Tar Valon or Bust. She’s appeared on several panels at New York Comic-Con, San Diego Comic-Con, and on-screen on the SYFY Network. DC Comics is publishing a series called “Batman ‘89”, a nostalgic and new story based on the Tim Burton and Michael Keaton world of the 1989 Batman film. Michael E. Uslan is the Originator and Executive Producer of the Batman movie franchise, spanning from 1989’s BATMAN to 2022’s THE BATMAN, including THE JOKER, the DARK KNIGHT trilogy, and the Justice League series. His work has been awarded Oscar, Emmy, People’s Choice, and Annie Awards. He was the first instructor to teach an accredited course on comic book folklore at any university and continues to teach as a Professor of Practice at Indiana University Media School. He is also the author of The Boy Who Loved Batman (IUP, 2019), which will become a Broadway play in Fall, 2022 with the Nederlander Organization. For Genius Brands, Michael oversees The Stan Lee Universe and the legacy of characters created by Stan post-Marvel. He was appointed to Joe Biden’s task force of entertainment industry executives regarding gun violence and movies/television and has served as a judge for the Asian Film Awards (Asia’s Oscars). He has also served on boards for Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership; the Association of Film Commissioners International; Wild Brain Animation Studio; Center for Excellence in Education; Youth Grants Panel, National Endowment for the Humanities; New Jersey Film Commission; Thomas Edison/Black Maria Film Festival; and Asbury Park Music & Film Festival.

Doctor Strange Into The Multiverse Of Madness is the 28th Marvel Cinematic Universe film, the most anticipated movie of the year for Marvel Studios, and their first attempt at creating a horror genre movie. Sean reviews the film with special guest Richard Nebens, writer and editor for The Direct.
