The Carton Show with Craig Carton & Chris McMonigle

Craig Carton and Chris McMonigle break down the New York Yankees tough 2-1 loss and the fan backlash aimed at manager Aaron Boone.

Was Boone actually to blame… or are fans ignoring the real issue — the offense?

On this episode of The Carton Show, Craig Carton and Chris McMonigle break down the real reason the Yankees dropped their first game of the season. From the bullpen decisions to the lack of hitting, they call out the overreactions and defend Boone against the online outrage.

Craig Carton and Chris “Big Mac” McMonigle bring the laughs in this hilarious segment as they introduce the legendary (and completely made-up?) “Yankee Pledge Day”, where fans must make a 27-second promise to the baseball gods for a World Series title.

Craig Carton and Chris “Big Mac” McMonigle kick off the show reacting to stunning comments from Jets head coach Aaron Glenn, who doubled down on his belief that Geno Smith can lead the team to the “Promised Land.”

The WFAN team is joined by coaching legend Bobby Hurley Sr. to discuss his son's coaching legacy following a thrilling victory over Duke. Plus, we break down St. John’s tough exit and debate what Rick Pitino could have done differently to change the outcome.

From ‘Go Get ‘Em’ (Subscribe Here): Chris McMonigle reacts to a season-opening sweep of the Giants, including the early optimism for Camilo Doval and the Yankee bullpen, the brilliance of Cam Schlittler and what it means for the big picture, and frustration with sitting Ben Rice against a lefty immediately. Plus, Giancarlo Stanton looks as locked in as he's ever been during his Yankee tenure, the ABS challenge system has been great for the game, and looking ahead to a series in Seattle with some sexy pitching matchups.
