In this episode, I am joined by Sean and Bryan Lords of Word On The Mainstreet Podcast. We first discuss what qualifies an attraction to be a dark ride. We then break down our personal top five. We discuss how much memories have to do with the top five and what makes a dark ride one you want to go on again and again. We also share what came in last place for each of us and why. It turns out that we were not unanimous in our number one or our dead last but it was close!

With the breaking news that Splash Mountain is now going to be turned in to a Princess and the Frog attraction, Collective member Heather Wallwork and I dissect Splash Mountain. We talk about what our favorite parts are, what we like less, Heather's strategy to stay dry, our favorite songs from the ride, a bit of Splash Mountain history as well as how we feel about the new theme for the attraction. This week Bryan Lords of Word On The Mainstreet Podcast joins Shawn to talk about Soarin'. They tackle both Soarin' over California and Soarin' Around The World. Topics include fastpass facts, our love of Patrick Warburton, favorite scenes, hidden Mickeys, best seats on the attraction, why the line can be brutal, the effects of the warped screen, what is CGI and what is not and what makes this ride an all-time favorite!

This week, Collective member "Skipper Rob" Ferre joins me to talk about the Jungle Cruise. Rob was a Skipper on the attraction at Disneyworld. He is also a popular public speaker, game show host and DJ. We talk a little ride history, the things to see and hear in line, the boats, all the amazing animals and of course the jokes! Rob tells some great stories from his time working on the ride. We also both share the many things we love about this enduring classic.
