This Week on The Casual Hour…

We preview the games slated to release for the month of May. If you’re into ports and collections of previous titles, you’re in luck! If you’re not, you might find this month to be a bit “lukewarm.” But hey, you could always start two MMOs at the same time like Bobby has. Details on that, Truck Stranding and more on this edition of The Casual Hour.

This Week on The Casual Hour…

This week it’s all Final Fantasy all the time!

Join the boys as they share their experiences in the excellent Final Fantasy VII Remake so far. Will this be Johnny’s GOTY? Has Bobby finally found the Final Fantasy game for him? Does Chase have what it takes to overthrow Shinra?

After Sharing their glowing impressions of the remake Johnny takes them on a strange journey down the history of the Chocobo; taking a long detour to explain the finer points of Chocobo breeding in the original Final Fantasy VII. It’s very interesting, we promise.

This Week on The Casual Hour…

By the time you’re listening to this episode, Final Fantasy VII Remake is already out, but the crew is still eagerly anticipating it as of this recording. As we wait, each of us are trying some new things. Johnny’s taken his first steps into Hades, Chase is bouncing around NBA Playgrounds 2 and Bobby’s balancing Disco Elysium with A Short Hike. And yeah, we’re all still playing Animal Crossing too. All that and our thoughts on the new PS5 controller on this edition of The Casual Hour.

This Week on The Casual Hour…

It’s time to preview the month of April, and you know what that means: The Casual Hour crew being excited for the FFVII Remake and pretty much nothing else. But in the meantime, we’ve still been playing a lot of Animal Crossing and DOOM Eternal, and Johnny’s even dug back into some older games on the PC. All that and more on this socially distant edition of The Casual Hour!

This Week on The Casual Hour…

We take a little break from our normal schedule and chill out with a nice Animal Crossing New Horizons discussion as we compare and contrast both our islands and this new game with previous ones in the franchise. Bobby and Johnny also do a bit of ripping and tearing in the new DOOM and Bobby enlightens us on the latest Ori game. All that on this edition of The Casual Hour.
