The Casual Hour

This Month on The Casual Hour...

With E3 in the rearview mirror, it’s time to get back to playing games, and The Casual Hour crew’s got some hot June releases to dig into. Johnny and Chase have been constructing levels in Mario Maker 2. Bobby and Johnny are getting into a rhythm with Cadence of Hyrule, and everyone’s been playing a lot of Slay The Spire (and not much My Friend Pedro). And since the issue doesn’t seem to be going away, we weigh in on the limited Pokedex of Pokemon Sword & Shield and the community reaction to it. All that and some premium dunking on Johnny’s new pool on this edition of The Causal Hour!

This Month on The Casual Hour…

‘Twas the week before E3 and all through the house, Johnny, Bobby and Chase were debating what games and news would come out of the biggest video game show of the year. Will Microsoft or Nintendo show off some new hardware? How will CD Projekt Red follow up on their big Cyberpunk trailer last year? Will Yoko Taro be there? All questions we dig into on this edition of The Casual Hour!

Games talked about on this episode: Red Dead 2(it goes as well as it did last time), Pokemon Let’s Go, Dragon Quest XI, Kingdom Rush: Vengeance, a handful of PSVR games, Spider-Man, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey(and the mobile game AC: Rebellion), Tetris Effect and Mark of the Ninja Remastered. It’s been weeks since we’ve had the whole crew together so it’s time for us to catch up and discuss one of the biggest games of the year, Red Dead Redemption 2. Opinions are…let’s be generous and say mixed across the hosts. Get ready for some lively debate about this one. Meanwhile, Chase has finally put Dragon Quest XI to bed (kind of), Bobby and Johnny are dipping into Diablo on the Switch and Bobby and Chase are chipping away at the fantastic new mobile game, Golf Peaks. All that and more on this edition of The Casual Hour!

This week on The Casual Hour...

We’re getting spooky with a very special horror-themed episode featuring Nate from the BuckLyfeYouTube channel. It’s so spooky Bobby and Johnny were too scared to join, so Chase is handling hosting duties. We cover some of the horror games Nate’s been playing on his channel recently, Chase’s disappointment in Game Dev Story on the Switch and talk about the scariest games we’ve ever played(spoiler:Chase’s games aren’t even that scary. He’s just a big baby. All that and more on this edition of The Casual Hour!
