Episode 7 – We're Back!!!

How do you cope in an occupation that expects the same amount of decisions as a nurse or a surgeon? Every day teachers make on average 1500 decisions or roughly 4 per minute about the children in their care. This week we talk about some of the things causing us stress at work and what are some of the strategies that we use to help find peace and draw the line between home and work.

If working in education in Term 4 is not hard enough with report writing, end of year concert and whatever else already going on, we also have to start thinking about the following year and deciding how students are going to be grouped together. In episode 3 we discuss the often frustrating process of class placements and how it can tear normally harmonious staff rooms apart.
