The Challenge Fandom Podcast

Hey Fandom and welcome back for another episode of Challengers Unplugged where we go beyond the edit with your favorite reality stars. This time we are here to kick off The Challenge 40 season premiere a day early with a really fun Unplugged episode we did with Ryan Kehoe.

CAUTION: EPISODE NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN OR ANYONE WHO IS UNCOMFORTABLE DISCUSSING DRUGS, SEX, ADDICTION, PARTYING AND OTHER THINGS OF THE SORT.

We break into Ryan's early life by discussing where he was born and raised, what he wanted to be when he was younger and what got him interested in reality TV to start with. Ryan takes us through his history on reality tv with a lot of fun topics such as what the appeal of trainwrecks is on reality TV, whether or not casting directions have a weight preference for reality shows these days, and what happens when production decides to drop you from their call list? We also dive into All Stars 4 alliances, what went wrong in the house, seasons Ryan wished he could have been on, whether he prefers all stars or flagship, which cast member on Challenge 40 surprised him the most and of course we dive deep into recovery, drug use, sex and promiscuity as well as old partying habits. We close out the show with going over who Ryan would put on his Challenge MT Rushmore and an abundance of Challenge 40 teasers to keep us in suspense until it premiers!

We truly hope you all enjoy this episode of Challengers Unplugged: Beyond The Edit with Ryan Kehoe and we can't wait to start breaking down Challenge 40 with you all!

Hey Fandom! Man it's good to be back! We are so excited for MTV's The Challenge season 40 "Battle of the Eras" and we wanted to do something special for this cast breakdown. Normally we would recap the cast with their stats but to celebrate the 40th season of our favorite reality competition show, we decided to revisit the best, most iconic moments throughout the history of this show. We do a bit of BSing to kick off the episode so if you'd like to go straight to Challenge stuff, go to 15:00.

We truly hope you all enjoy this breakdown of not only the cast, but of the last 40 seasons of The Challenge with some of the most iconic moments we could muster up.

*Our video version is available on YT and nearly every memory has the clip on screen over there. We hope you all enjoy and we will see you next week for our season opening Unplugged session!

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Roundtable Recap with your Challenge Fandom Podcast Hosts Rick, Corrina, Katie and Josh! This week we got together to discuss the final episode for The Challenge All Stars 4 and give our overall thoughts on the season. We kick off the episode by talking about Derek being eliminated, whether or not he could have won if he could have continued, what it would have been like to watch him run against Laurel and Cara and of course, him giving his star to Laurel. Then we discuss how we feel about giving stars, if we think these stars truly made a difference in the final standings of the show and we discuss other finals and their advantage points. Next we breakdown the following 2 checkpoints and Leroy going home on the marionette style elimination including what we loved most about his exit and why Leroy continues to be one of our all time favorites. Moving on we break down the Bluff Night challenge, why we think there may have been a better choice here for Cara and does Ace truly even want to win by this point? We close up by discussing the Star Loop final leg of the Challenge, why we don't think Cara would have won even if the star advantages were evened out, whether or not this season should be looked at as an asterisk win, if this confirms that Laurel is the GOAT, why we believe this was truly the Cara Maria season and then we finish off with season grades and MVPs. We had such a great time this season recapping, debating and discussing this season with each other and all of you. We hope you all enjoy the off season and we will see you soon with some more fun episodes!

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for this very late episode of Roundtable Recap where we sat down with Pierre from Zach Nichols Podcast and talked all things All Stars 4 EP11. We kick off with a season overview and we discuss why the Laurel and Cara rivalry is possibly the best female rivalry of all time on The Challenge. We also discuss whether or not seasons should be cast based on skill/ability level or if it should be a free-for-all as it always has been. Then we break down the last daily of the season, discuss which we value more daily wins or eliminations wins, give our thoughts on Flora quitting and then break into the first half of this seasons finale. We talk about the first checkpoint and elimination set up, how we feel about solo winners, our thoughts on this final being a more even keel situation for everyone involved and of course... whats up with all the Winnebago references?!

Again we really apologize for this episode being so late but we hope you guys enjoy looking back at what we said over a week ago and seeing what actually lined up with what ended up happening in the final episode of this season!

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Roundtable Recap with your Challenge Fandom Podcast hosts Rick, Corrina, Katie and Alexis. This week we got together to chat about The Challenge All Stars 4 EP10 "It Was A Good Jay" but we kept getting sidetracked and ended up spending half the episode talking about a bunch of other things too and had way too many laughs LOL

***WARNING: AS4 EP10 Recap does not START until 41:20***

If you are looking for strictly Challenge content, we discuss Kam and Cara's individual interviews at 11:30 - 20:05.

If you're open for it all, we have a great time on this episode and you even get to meet Katie's alter ego LOL!

Once we break into The All Stars 4 EP10 recap we start by discussing why this title disappointed us, how Cara can sometimes come off very tone deaf, and we make a couple of early episode PINS that a lot of fans seem to be overlooking for some reason.

Next we break down the daily, how we felt about the winner celebration and we add another important PIN right here with how the final middle group was made on the field. Once we move into deliberations we discuss Ryan changing his mind about going into elimination to get his star, Steve attempting to conspire behind Adam and Leroy's back to save his own star, why we feel a lot of fans couldn't handle the old challenge no matter how much they scream that they want it and is All Stars 4 starting to become overproduced like the flagship? Next we break into nominations and Corrina explains why she doesn't think Adam did anything wrong in this vote and everyone discusses our feelings on Ace. Finally we close out the episode with a discussion about our feelings on the elimination, whether or not Jay should have gone down or stayed out, the different strategic approaches to this elimination, Adam's confessional, next episode predictions, MVP's, Lines of the Night and so much more.

We truly hope you enjoy this episode! We had a great time making it and as much as we needed this light recap episode full of laughs, we hope it makes some of you laugh as well.

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Roundtable Recap with your Challenge Fandom Podcast host team Rick, Corrina, Tony and Katie. Plus this week we are joined by our good friend over at Challenge Historian podcast - Jacob Hollabaugh! This week we are here to breakdown The Challenge All Stars 4 EP9 "Waiting For A Star To Fall". We kick off with a little BSing intro per usual so if you'd like to skip right to The Challenge, go to around 13:30 minutes. When we break into the episode we discuss everything from Cara giving us a new Nelsonism, good episode title themed seasons, Kam's forced speech at the pool party, Cara vs Nicole at the Gym, whether or not Nicole has always played this paranoid and Cara promises Kam she's done coming after her for this season. Then we break down the daily including which Challenger surprised us most, what we would have liked to see changed to make this daily perfect, our thoughts on Kam quitting and Corrina gives another emotional statement regarding post partum anxiety and how debilitating it can be on a mother, no matter how far along in their motherhood they are. Next we discuss whether Nicole just sucks or if she actually threw this daily, who we'd like to see in and out of this final, Laurel and Kam's deal and did Laurel really ever intend to go in or was this some master plan from the jump? We also break down the nomination ceremony including Jay finally choosing a side, whether or not production plays with edit cut times when someone is making a decision, our thoughts on this whole elimination setup, how we felt about Kam telling the whole house what Laurel is up to, Corrina's prediction for the final daily challenge of the season, whether we prefer one or two part finales, how we felt about Laurel declining the elimination, MVP's, AS5 Cast warning and so much more! We had such a good time sitting down with The Challenge Historian and breaking down this episode of The Challenge All Stars 4. Make sure you follow The Challenge Historian and The Survivor Historian podcasts to support Jacob and our very own Tony "Stats and Info" Lantz as well.

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Roundtable Recap with your Challenge Fandom Podcast hosts Rick, Corrina, Katie, Tony and Alexis! This week we got together to break down the most recent episode of The Challenge All Stars 4 EP 8: The Queen Gambit.

If you're looking to skip our BSing, go to 13:42.

We kick off by discussing the most important piece of this episode that not a lot of people have caught on to: The horrendous chop job they did to the edit of this episode in which they showed us scenes out of order and out of context. So we try to break it all down for you on how it logically could have gone. Then we break into the boat day, whether or not they have phones or go-pros, swimming in the cape, production's trickiness, Laurel and Cara's vulnerable talk, the daily, Kam's master plan, and could Ace and Jay have helped Cara? We then break into whether or not this game strategy was bullying, who would win in a fight Cara or Nicole, Leroy's strategy for Kam's elimination opponent, and why did Laurel take such offense to Veronica trying to make a game move? Next we break down Cara's attempts at negotiation with Nicole during nominations, the big fight, why you should never attempt to "help" your friend in a toxic situation in this manner, why we think Cara should have known better and this wasn't just her being a good friend, Averey refusing this elimination and losing the chance to make a historic move in this season, why we love seeing Cara as the underdog the most, lines of the night, MVPs and much more. We truly had a great time breaking down this episode and we hope you all enjoy it too!
