He starts off the show by stating that in order for Justin Verlander to be a starting pitcher, he cannot be giving up three runs per start. The second segment continues with Astros talk as Pallilo discusses the amount of 40 home run hitters this season and Verlander is climbing up all-time lists. The following segment deals with the breaking trade news between Utah and Memphis and what that means for the Houston Rockets. The final segment deals with the questions of the lineup and the depth chart of the outfield and quietly outrages over their past couple of games.

The second hour begins with coverage of the Cincinnati game that just began with a slight rain delay and Charlie doubles back to the Mike Conley trade. The Second segment is a spin around the major league baseball world as Charlie looks at what’s going on around the league in the past 24/48 hours. The third segment deals with the greatest number 82 of all time and other relevant football news surrounding the number. Twenty years since the stars have won the Stanley cup title questionably in the 1999 season and it may be in play for the owner of the Rockets.

Charlie kicks off the show talking about the Astros. He gives details and his thoughts on their upcoming schedule. He also gives his input on the NBA now that the Finals are over. He predicts where Kawhi Leonard will go, if he leaves Toronto. Charlie also discusses other NBA free agents and the upcoming NBA Draft.

The second hour starts off with continuing talks about the NBA and free agency. The David Ortiz update comes up in the talks. Charlie gets back into baseball talk and gives stats for teams. Charlie changes it up by talking NFL and Texans. Charlie does his weekly ‘Stump Charlie’ segment and then closes the show out with interesting baseball stories.

Charlie talks the Texans recent off-season troubles, Astros blow-out loss to the Blue Jays (12-0), and ESPN writer Tim MacMahon’s article on the turmoil within the Rockets’ organization after another difficult season. The Astros go to Cincinnati to begin a 3 game series against the Reds; Charlie talks Yasiel Puig and Joey Votto. Charlie begins the 2nd hour talking the Astros upcoming series against the Reds. MLB All-Star game is Tuesday, July 9th; which Astros players should we be seeing? Anthony Davis has been traded to the Lakers. Charlie talks the implications of this trade around the league including potential off-season moves for the Rockets. Charlie wraps up the show with “baseball cleanup” stories and a look back at OJ’s Bronco chase, 25 years ago today.

Charlie opens the show with a breakdown of game 6 of the NBA Finals and the confirmation that Klay Thompson has a torn ACL. Charlie goes on to discuss the Raptors and how good they are and talk how Golden State won’t be as good and the west is open. He then discusses the Houston Astros next series against the Toronto Blue Jays and how there are many sub-storylines going into it. A caller calls and then he starts talking about the situation with the Texans and how the Patriots accused them of tampering. He finishes the first hour with what Cavan Biggio had to say about coming back to Houston and playing in Minute Maid Park.

Charlie starts the 2nd hour continuing his preview for the Astros series against the Toronto Blue Jays then continues their next games against the Reds and Yankees. He goes on to discuss the current standings of the US Open. He goes back into talking about the Raptors and Klay Thompson also what way Kawhi is going to go when free agency opens. Charlie continues talking about Kawhi Leonard and where he was last year and to this year gets a call from a bitter Spurs fan. Continuing on with his basketball talk he gets into the Golden State Warriors and where do they go and falls back into Kawhi Leonard with some calls.  He finishes the final hour with a breakdown of the Raptors.

Charlie kicks the show off talking about last night’s Astros thriller. He answers a caller who claims that Charlie cursed the Astros on his show. Charlie analyzes Justin Verlander’s season, mentioning his tendency to give up solo home runs but also his low ERA. He discusses the St. Louis Blues winning their first ever Stanley Cup.
