Charlie starts the day with his favorite championship game in all sports, UVA’s win over Texas Tech to become national champions. He is also excited about the Astros’ winning record and winning streak. The Rockets’ win in tonight’s game could see them moving up to the second seed.

The season just started but there is a lot going on in baseball already. The Astros have a winning record at the moment after their win over the Yankees. At the moment the Mariners are the top MLB team with a 10-2 record while the Orioles’ Chris Davis is on a 0-49 streak. Charlie will be back from Minnesota and in studio tomorrow.

Charlie starts hour 1 talking about tonight’s NCAA National Championship Game. Then he talks about the miss call in the Final Four game between Auburn and Virginia. He then discusses the Rockets chances of getting the second seed.

In the second hour of the Pallilo Show, Charlie previews the Yankees-Astros game tonight. Then he discusses Mike Trout impressive start of a season. Charlie then gets into Chris Davis and his troubling season.

Houston sports are jumping today with both the Astros and Rockets playing home games tonight. Charlie gives credit where credit is due to Giannis Antetokounmpo for his MVP-caliber season. Then, he gives his picks for who he thinks should be MVP, the best current player, and the best player of all time.

It’s only the very beginning of the season but if this next series goes sideways should the Astros start to worry? Charlie looks at their home opener opponent and whether or not fans will have their parade rained on (literally and figuratively). Oakland A’s announcer Vince Cotroneo joins the show to discuss his team.

Charlie kicks things off with some good news and bad news. The good news: the Rockets are the best team in the NBA since the All-Star break. The bad news: the Astros just plain stink right now. Charlie talks about Evan Turner’s impact on the Blazers and is then joined by Ken Hoffman of CultureMap after the break. Charlie claims someone might be the greatest pitcher in history followed by a little back-and-forth baseball trivia between himself and Ken. Charlie provides some context to the MVP race between The Beard and The Greek Freak, and why Houston homers need to respect both players.

Charlie talks standings as the Rockets have a chance to climb up to the 2 seed after Denver’s loss to Golden State last night. And, day 5 of Kelvin Sampson watch continues as the UH coach has still yet to sign a deal one way or the other. Then it’s time for some Astros talk as Charlie breaks down some of the Stro’s offense and what went right and wrong from the last few games of the season. Charlie wraps up with more baseball talk as he summarizes Bryce Harpers recent form with his brand new team.
