Charlie starts the first hour of the show recapping some of last night’s contest between the Rockets and Wizards including addressing the record breaking 26 made three-point shots accomplished by Houston. Charlie discusses the injury to Astros relief pitcher Joe Smith and what this means for the ’Stros bullpen. Charlie suspects this next week may have the Texans most significant regular season game in the matchup with Philly, considering the Texans could take the bye away from the Patriots who have suffered their own setback with Josh Gordon stepping away from Football probably due to failing another drug test. Looking at the Houston Cougars, Charlie suspects the team could make it to the post season with as few as four losses and perhaps make a statement in the tournament this year. To wrap things up Charlie discusses the standings and form of the Western Conference and where the Rockets will be considering their current pace.

Charlie is joined by College Football Previews Phil Steele to discuss the CFB playoffs, upcoming bowl games, and what this last year’s recruiting class means going forward. Charlie then delves into the College Basketball matchup between Texas Tech and Duke, with the Blue Devils being favored by 10\. Charlie talks a bit about the 9 remaining undefeated teams in college basketball which includes UH and Texas Tech. To wrap things up Charlie looks forward to the Rockets matchup with the Miami Heat and what the Houston offense will look like on the back of the record breaking three point shooting earlier this week.

Charlie starts the first hour talking about the red-hot Rockets. Then he looks at the Pro Bowl roster and which Texans made the cut. He turns to college football and the early signing day news. He goes back to the Rockets their game against the Wizards and the return of Trevor Ariza. Charlie also gives some good news about Monet Davis and segues into the Astros’ new pitcher. He ends the hour with some choice words for Kevin Ollie and his accusations.

To start the second hour Charlie previews some of the upcoming college bowl games. Despite the Rockets impressive winning streak, Charlie feels the jury is still out on the team. “Is the John Wall and CP3 worth the money they are being paid,” Charlie asked. In the second segment Charlie discusses some of the best studio host, such as Brent Musburger, Bob Costas, and more. Switching to college basketball he talks about the undefeated Houston Cougars, and how long will their streak last. Continuing basketball talk, Charlie talks about the upper echelon of the NBA western conference. Joined by Ken Hoffman they debated some of the top stories of the year in Houston. Also, Ken gives his opinion on why Baker Mayfield should be in the MVP race. Who would you rather have Baker Mayfield or Deshaun Watson, Odell Beckham or DeAndre Hopkins Charlie and Ken debated. To close the show Charlie talks about why the Texans will slip and not have a home playoff game this year.

Charlie starts the first hour celebrating the Rockets’ fourth consecutive win, even though they did get a bit of help. He gives a rundown of all the big news in Houston sports. Then, he looks at the big deal the Astros struck with Michael Brantley. To close out the hour Charlie talks about the low-scoring Monday Night Football game and the issues that both teams had on offense.

At the top of the second hour, Charlie talks about the Texans’ chances of being the top seed in the AFC. He turns to the Rockets and their win, in which the referees’ missed calls helped them out. Then, he talks about the Astros acquisition of Brantley. At the end of the hour he explains to listeners why he doesn’t care about the Premier League.

He turns to the Rockets, who have won their last 3 games, and the Cougars, who remain undefeated. Next, he talks about the Patriots’ loss to the Steelers and their possible decline. Charlie looks at the Eagles’ shocking win over the Rams and their chances against the Texans this week. To wrap things up Charlie discusses Notre Dame Head coach Bryan Kelly being named AP Coach of the year and then pivots to some news from around the NBA.

To begin the second hour of the show Charlie talks about the realistic limits and the potential of the Texans playoff success given their current state and their last two games. Charlie then spends some time talking about the University of Houston’s Basketball team as they are one of only 8 remaining undefeated teams in college basketball, and what going undefeated the rest of the way until the tournament would mean for the team. Next, Charlie touches on what scenarios could play out in the last two weeks as the NFL heads into its post-season and the turns to Astros’ related free agency news.
