Megan March is the singer, drummer and a founding member of Oakland based Street Eaters. Their newest record Opaque will be released September 5th via Dirt Cult Records. Megan and Joe discuss her youth growing up in the vibrant bay area punk community and how the early days of “jammin econo” shaped the Streets Eaters sound and sustainable touring ethos. Megan shares her experience of giving birth where she was neglected, forced to endure an emergency C-section and how this and this experience and the political climate have steered Opaque to be a record about coming to terms with trauma. The two discuss peaceful protest vs. active protest and how it matches up to state violence and attacks on human rights. Megan shares a tour story that ultimately convinced them to add a third member to the band and how the band dynamic has changed in the studio.  Joe and Megan discuss the prospects for touring with a kid and they unpack a couple new tunes.
