ABC's Alex Stone reports that state documents show the first reports of possible oil on the water came in on Friday evening.  By early Saturday morning NOAA reported likely oil seen in satellite imagery.  But it wasn’t until nearly 9am on Saturday morning that the owner of the pipeline reported the leak and hours after that when the public was informed.  Today, the first federal lawsuit was already being filed against the pipeline owner.

Frances Haugen, who revealed her identity during a Sunday interview on CBS' "60 Minutes," has been cooperating with a Senate Commerce subcommittee as part of its ongoing efforts to assess potential regulation of the platform. Haugen told lawmakers the company intentionally ignored proof of its potentially harmful impact on users.
