John England, an Education Policy Analyst from the Libertas Institute, joins me again to discuss A.I. in education. While there are concerns about students' reliance on A.I. like ChatGPT for homework, we discuss how A.I. does not necessarily degrade education and can be used effectively for idea generation and refining writing projects. John also mentions useful A.I. tools like Khan Academy's Conmigo, an A.I. chatbot for teaching math. They further highlight the need for critical thinking in using A.I., especially with A.I. possibly providing information that may be 80% correct. Furthermore, they discuss how A.I. could potentially alleviate issues with overcrowded classrooms by serving as a personalized tutor.

I recently hosted Joe Gulesserian, author of 'The Practical MBA on Economics', to discuss the evolving topic of artificial intelligence. We discussed both positive and negative impacts of AI on various industries and professions, from manufacturing and programming to white-collar work and even espionage. Joe also expressed concerns about the potential for extensive job loss and universal basic income in a society dominated by AI. However, he wonders if we could possibly see a more efficient world with a shorter work week. The conversation raises intriguing questions about the future of work, the economy, and society in the age of A.I.

My guest Connor Boyack once said, "Until I graduated college, I never had the time, the mental energy to focus on what I was passionate about." This led him to ask , "How do I help my kids avoid the same fate I had?" The author of the popular Tuttle Twins series and President of the Libertas Institute walks us through how he teaches his kids using their own passions, and explains how you can do it as well.

Does the notion that the world isn’t as bad off as perceived and that free markets are beneficial sound absurd? Maybe to some. Yet economist and author Art Carden and I contend that we’re experiencing an unparalleled era in history, poised to improve further if driven by voluntary exchange. Andrew Wilson, author of 'Remaking the World', a book that offers a fresh perspective on the year 1776, outlines how this pivotal moment in history shaped the modern post-Christian West. While this year is chiefly remembered for the creation of America, Wilson speaks about the various critical moments and cultural shifts that occurred that year, ultimately shaping our present world. We discuss various topics, such as the impact of industrialization, romanticism, and enlightenment ideals, the evolving role of the church in society, and the importance of understanding history in the contemporary societal context.
