"When you look at the interests of Saudi Arabia, who is pouring billions into this conflict, and…Turkey, you see that really they don’t want to have tranquility and peace in that region," Shadjareh tells Loud & Clear.

"They’d had a commitment from the beginning for regime change."

The United States and its allies maintain that their goal in Syria is to combat violent religious extremist groups like Daesh, also known as IS/Islamic State. But Western powers resist the obvious solution to that problem by insisting first on the removal Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

A B-52H Stratofortress crashed around 8:30 a.m. on Andersen Air Force Base's flight line, the base's public affairs office has confirmed.

All seven crew members safely exited the aircraft. No injuries have been reported. Emergency responders are on scene, according to Andersen's public affairs.

The B-52 was deployed to Andersen from Minot Air Force Base, in North Dakota, as part of the military's continuous bomber presence mission in the Pacific.

The crew members are from the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron and were performing a routine training mission, according to Andersen.

The incident is under investigation and measures to mitigate possible environmental impacts are being taken, Andersen stated. More information will be released as it becomes available.

It's the second crash involving a B-52 in Guam in eight years.

In July 2008, a B-52 crashed into the ocean about 35 miles northwest of the island, killing all six flight crew on board, according to an Air Force investigation report.

The attack by a man on an 8-year-old girl in a women’s restroom last week in a Chicago restaurant is raising alarm about opposite-sex access to public facilities in the name of transgender rights.

Police say the man, 33-year-old Reese Hartstirn, entered the women’s room May 7 at Jason’s Deli in Chicago’s South Loop and choked the girl until she passed out.

The girl’s mother, who was in the adjacent stall, heard her daughter’s screams and rescued her, while restaurant patrons held the suspect until police arrived, according to WLS-TV in Chicago.

Opponents of laws allowing opposite-sex public-facility use argue that they increase the danger of such attacks because they allow men, transgender or not, to enter women’s rooms unchallenged.

“I’m sure his intent was innocent,” said Susan Wright in a Friday post on the conservative website RedState. “I’m sure he really felt that he belonged in the women’s restroom and the little girl was somehow oppressing him, which caused the confusion, resulting in his hands ending up around her neck.”

A fireball 10 times brighter than the full moon exploded in the sky of Finland on May 12, 2016.

The disintegrating blue-green ball of fire emitted a powerful and loud boom reported all across southern Finland.

The meteor flew from north to south and was 10 times brighter than the full moon, according to first calculations.

The ‘shockingly gorgeous’ falling space rock was reported more than 100 times all over southern Finland.

The blue-green meteor flew up to 8 seconds before exploding in a loud sonic boom.

This unusually bright object travelled through the Earth’s atmosphere at 16 kilometers per second and disintegrated at about 89 kilometers altitude.
