The Chronicles of A Black Italian Woman episodes

  • Ep 2 Afroitalian professors and 7 lessons from my 5 Years in Rome
Here we are, episode 2! I  This week had it's ups and down.  Activism isn't always easy, but it can bring some joys especially when you get to share a conversation such as this one:  "Citizenship now: Activism and the Battle for State Recognition".   With Black Italian activists such as Selam Tesfai, from Cantiere Milano and Afroitalian professors like Camilla Hawthorne and Angelica Pesarini. Of course I can't forget to mention Fulbright Alumunus, Candice Whitney. 5 years is a long time, although sometimes it feels like yesterday. In this episode,  I share the 7 lessons that I have learned during my 5 years in Rome, Italy.
    Enjoy!

From the publisher's feed

I am an awkward (cit. Issa Rae) Afroitalian from Brescia, near Milan, based now in Florence, Italy but I lived in Rome for the last 8 years. I lived in London and dreamt about the US as a kid. Through this podcast, I want to share the variety of the Black experience and more through different topics from pop culture to history, society, culture, faith, wellness etc... also with guests in the segment “Diasporahood”
