“metaverse” is a new word, and we’ve only heard it because of Mark Zuckerberg’s that Facebook’s parent company is changing its name to Meta. The new name is a nod to the future. Meta is positioning itself as the first mover of a new digital universe. The metaverse is not a digital world. It’s a digital world of worlds through which people can travel seamlessly, retaining their appearance and digital possessions wherever they go. These worlds do not merely exist in VR (virtual reality), but also layer onto physical reality through AR (augmented reality).

The CSP crew tackles a hard topic " Letting Go " Moving On" and loving during the process. 
Why do we have so much trouble learning how to let go of someone.  Letting go and moving on from a volunteer often entails a large amount of uncertainty.  Learning when it’stime to let go is often the most difficult part of this process. But in many cases it’s necessary to let go in order to help the person and aide the ministry. Deciding how to let go becomes easier when you are certain the time has come and that ending a position is really  a new start.

Prentiss L. Thompson of the Church Sound Podcast breaks down the importance of overhead mcs and the different way to utilize them.
Overheads are needed, a stereo pair of mics over the left and right sides of the kit, and equidistant from the snare drum, is the most popular technique. This has the advantage of giving good coverage and a degree of stereo imaging, as well as being easy to set up with two tall boom stands either side of the kit

The choice of overheads is very much dependant on the way they will be used. If you are able to get them in an optimum position — above the kit and capturing the drum kit as a whole — then a matched pair will reward you with a very coherent picture of the kit. Large-diaphragm mics such as AKG C414s and Shure's KSM44 are very popular, as are smaller 'pencil' condensers such as Neumann KM184s and SE Electronics' SE4s. The choice is huge.

Prentiss L. Thompson talks through  what Tom-tom drums present. I think for most people the best tom sound can be achieved with a dynamic microphone. The techniques: Classic Method: Place the mic 2 or 3 inches over the head and above the rim, positioned at a 45 degree angle and aimed at the center of the head. This will get the most attack. For less attack and more ring, try pointing the mic closer to the rim.
Again, the workhorse 57 makes an appearance. A common choice for toms, the mic seems to emphasize the attack and slap of the toms thanks to its mid boost, though it lacks some of the warmth of the tone that other mics provide. Not a bad choice if you need your toms to cut and “bark.” If the drum you are miking lacks sustain.
