Critch talked about settling into his first full week with the team, spending time on team mentality, focusing on consistency of play, and fully preparing the team for a tough and hot away match where keeping control of the ball in areas vulnerable to transition would be key.

During the Y98 halftime show, CITY Sporting Director, Lutz Pfannenstiel, visited the booth at Energizer Park to talk with the broadcast crew during CITY’s home match against San Jose. Durkin talked about his two recoveries this season, plus grinding his way through MCL pain and returning to game fitness. Durkin also talked about each player in the team taking personal responsibility for performance, and, though they are in a tough stretch, his optimism on their ability to win more “critical moments” to win games.

During the Y98 pregame show, Dale Schilly caught up with CITY’s new Caretaker Head Coach, David Critchley, who was elevated to the first team from CITY 2 after Olof Mellberg’s release from the club shortly ahead of CITY’s home match against San Jose. Coach Critch talked about his drive and ambition to coach at the highest levels, his short-term focus on exciting soccer for the fans to enjoy, the team's focus on controlling the ball while saying aggressive pressing higher, and helping them to get back to basics of their original identity.
