The venue, which recently closed on December 31st, had been open on 3rd Ave. & St. Mark’s Place since 1991. In the past decade or so, Continental operated as more of a dive bar -- famously displaying a sign which read "5 Shots of anything for $10 ALL DAY/ALL NIGHT(yes, we're serious)" -- however, from it's inception, Continental was a punk rock venue that regularly hosted legendary musicians including Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Patti Smith, Guns N’ Roses and The Wallflowers. Trigger shares memories of the venue's most iconic nights, his path to founding Continental, & his life on the Lower East Side.

Houlihan was born in Hell's Kitchen in 1970, a neighborhood that, just like the Lower East Side, has undergone immense change since the 70s. Tommy is the son of Tom Houlihan Sr. who was a member of the infamous New York City Irish gang called the "Westies". When he was 18, He has worked in shops across New York City for roughly 30 years and has never stopped tattooing -- besides a stint on Rikers Island. He shares vivid stories of his career as a tattoo artist, in which he's seen all steps of the transformation of the art.

Rico also touches on his time in prison -- as he did 30 years of federal time starting at the age of 19 -- from what he learned, to how he ended up there.
