But with the Apprentice Minimum Wage rising 6% to £8 per hour from April 2026, many businesses are questioning whether taking on apprentices will remain financially viable.

We also explores the government’s new ‘Youth Guarantee’, an £820 million initiative designed to give every 18–21 year old not in employment, education or training a place in college, an apprenticeship, or targeted career support.
