Welcome to the Coaching Knife when we cut to the root of the matter. In this episode, we speak to Lynn Evans, coach, author and a keen advocate of The Pleasure of Movement . Focusing on coaching rugby through game-play and player-centred methods, we are going to cut to the root on how that looks in a session.
Lynn is a former teacher, RFU staff coach and head coach of Oxford University, as well as a successful stint at Chinnor RFC. In 2021, he was the RFU President’s Value the Volunteer, Outstanding Contribution Awards 2021 winner.
His philosophy: Always looking to develop and progress my knowledge of the game concepts, involve players more in the learning, help mentor other coaches, use courses to spread the LPM methods, enjoy what I do, and get Tom Phillips to manage me!
