This week’s word is ambition or ambitious, we’re going to do both. Now I’m going to ask you a series of questions and I want you to put some quality thought into the questions I’m about to ask and why this is important.

Who do you know, that is ambitious?  Now, who can you think of, whether that’s in your existing life or somebody in the Twitter sphere or the global sphere?  Who Can you think of?  Who do you know that you would consider to be ambitious? Or to have ambition?  Who do you know for you?

What does it mean? Like literally what does it mean?  To you, ambition, or to be ambitious, what does it mean?  What kind of feelings does that word stimulate in you?  What does that word mean to you?  Because let’s face it, right? For some folks ambition may have some negative connotations.  It could be positive, right?  Or it could be negative, but what does it mean to you?

Grant Cardone has been preparing for an economic correction for sometime now and has been very verbal about it.  If you’ve been following him for any amount of time, especially as long as I have, you already know this to be true.  

In Grant’s latest Strategy of the Week, we look at what to invest in after COVID-19 / the Coronavirus has past.   One of the key messages for me from this strategy, which is incredibly uplifting, is that this will pass.  This is a tremendous opportunity for you to look at history and see how events like these shape the future and most importantly pass.  This is not a forever thing.  As a species we are incredibly resilient and we were designed to adapt and overcome.  Remember, the #1 thing to invest at any time, not just in after COVID-19, is you.  

You need to be skilled up and educated to come out of this on top.  We’re all going to get through it.  The question is, who will you be on the other side?

HANDLE YOUR SPLINTERS

If you have a splinter in your foot and don’t remove it, what happens? It gets infected and it continues to hurt and wear on you. It effects your ability to fully stand, walk, run, basically function effectively. Eventually that splinter needs to get handled.

Let’s do the definition real fast, right? Let’s just get that part covered.  Meaning: having life.  I want to do the verb version of the word.  Living means “having life.”  Also, “the condition of being alive.”

Now, when we look at the etymology, the history, we show origins, meaning action, the doing, which goes back to the condition of being alive, living.  The action of living, it’s an action, it’s something that you do, a process.

And then method of gaining one’s livelihood.  So that’s another meaning of living like, “Hey, what do you do for a living?” How do you you know?  What is your method of gaining livelihood, meaning money?

First question, if the definition is and (when you look it up), the first thing you see is having life.

In Grant Cardone’s Strategy of the Week, Grant puts the pressure on you to examine your true perceptions of yourself.  How do you perceive yourself?

When you look in the mirror, who’s looking back at you?  What do you see?  When was the last time you took a long hard look at that person?  David Goggins calls this The Accountability Mirror.  Who is looking back at you?  Do you like the person you see?  Is it time for a little tough love?
